Are these deceitful, disingenuous business practices or do all appliance stores do this? I'm trying to resolve 3 issues with the customer service manager of a major appliance dealer, but to no avail, even though they confirm the sequence of events. After purchasing several appliances from them, a fridge, microwave and stove from Appliance Canada still are an issue. I have now been waiting over 8 months to receive the stove and microwave. The delivery of my fridge was completed within a reasonable time period, but the company contracted by Appliance Canada to deliver the fridge, dropped my old fridge on my hardwood floor and damaged the floor. I reported the incident immediately to the appliance company, and we had a few communications and they assured me that the insurance would be able to have situation rectified. Since that time, Appliance Canada has backed off their promise, and they informed me that they have ceased doing business with that cartage firm, and it was my misfortune and there was nothing that they were prepared to do about it. So much for customer service or protection of your valuables. I was waiting for the microwave and stove for over 8 months. In late September I received a call that all remaining appliances were available for delivery. I said "great" and we agreed upon a firm time for the beginning of October for delivery. Subsequently I found out that it was the practice of this store to give appliance to the next customer on the list if they would take possession sooner, even though I had a firm confirmed date for delivery. As of 3 weeks ago my microwave was delivered and thankfully my original contractor was gracious enough to install the microwave as part of his contract even though he had to disrupt his current project. FYI I had called before this to see if Appliance Canada would be able to install the microwave. I asked for a call back and did get a call back 3 weeks later instead of within 48 hours. When I voiced my concern and disappointment to the customer service manager at Appliance Canada, not only was he reluctant to accountability or responsibility, he was always retreating and referring to " I have to discuss with my manager" but now 9 months after my contractor has finished, I am going to have to pay him to return again to install my gas stove if and when it ever comes. When I went to Appliance Canada, I was under the impression I was dealing with a professional company who had a reputation for avoiding potential problems, not being the problem. Sadly this is my ongoing experience with Appliance Canada.
