Ours was a small job. Although our driveway is large, it needed resurfacing and minor repairs but not replacement. The company responded quickly with a quote and date for work and turned up as scheduled. I appreciate that the surface was not sprayed on. The job was neatly done and I appreciate that the driveway is now matte black and not shiny black.

This is the first time we hired someone to do painting, selecting the company from HomeStars reviews. We got a quote for painting an upper and lower hallway , living room, dining room, and one bedroom, including all ceilings. Two coats of paint on the walls, one coat of paint on the ceiling. We opted to first paint the trim ourselves. That was a lot of work but also cut down the cost significantly. Ahead of time, we moved all furniture into the centre of the room and took down pictures and mirrors from the walls, as requested. Work began on schedule and took 2-1/2 days. The first night the painters left at 10:00 pm (although they first asked if it was okay to stay that late). Very quickly the painters realized the walls were sucking up the paint more than expected and they needed additional paint. My husband offered to drive to the local Sherwin Williams store to purchase the paint (on their credit card) so the painters could keep painting. There was no additional charge for the extra paint. Ali did the edging work himself and he is an expert ... perfect job. The painters worked long and hard and knew what they had to do. Toward the end, the floor coverings were not tight against the wall and there was overspray on the hardwood floors. Luckily it cleaned up completely so all is well. I would use the company again.

We have used Done Right Roofing previously. Two years ago they replaced our eavestroughing and eleven years ago they replaced the full roof of our two-story house. The warranty for the roof shingles was ten years so not surprising that some of the roof needs replacing, a section over a first-floor kitchen. The company checked the entire roof but decided only that portion needed to be replaced as the shingles were obviously curling up. They recommended a (Timberline) shingle that would reflect light/heat. They provided a link to a website for the suggested shingle where we could view roofing shingle colours. The one small complaint I have is that the office took a several days to respond to our initial call, however, once the estimate was given, work was completed two days later. They do good work, are careful of the surroundings, clean up afterwards, are knowledgeable and friendly. We would use them again when the rest of the roof needs replacing.

This is a company I fully recommend without hesitation. They are skilled craftspeople who know their jobs and take pride in a job well done. They are courteous, friendly, and considerate.

We had a small bathroom window to replace and opted to have to opening cut back to the brick frame, as recommended by the salesman, so we would get more light. The install crew of two men were quick and efficient, cleaning up everything when done. This is the third time we have used Consumer's Choice (windows in rest of house, and a front door) and are overall pleased with the company.

We decided to support a local company that had been in the area for years. I asked for an on-line quote and the response was immediate. Their showroom has many full size door samples from which to choose. The salesperson was very helpful and did not pressure us at all. We replaced two single garage doors, one door opening motor and had matching frames installed surrounding the door openings. The install was completed ahead of time. The friendly installers really knew their jobs and were finished quickly, cleaning up everything before they left. We would definitely recommend this company.

We used Granite Transformations to update our tub/shower areas (tubs and wall surround), sinks and counters in two full bathrooms, plus a counter and sink in our powder room. The salesman, Rob, arrived on time armed with samples, before/after photos, etc. He offered suggestions but at no time was he aggressive or pushing for a sale. The project manager, Ami, was always available throughout. Once the contract was signed, the office booked an appointment for a tradesman to take measurements. Shortly thereafter the office booked an appointment for the install advising it would be about 3 days, that we would have water off for a few hours, would be without tubs. They did offer the option of doing the bathroom tubs at different times but we decided doing it once and getting it over with. All trades people arrived on time, were friendly, very capable, explained everything, cleaned up after. They cared about doing a good job. They were considerate in pointing out issues. For instance, we got a call asking if we were okay with the height of the sliding glass tub doors. Our enclosures have bulkheads which limit height of the doors. It was fine but we appreciated them asking first and emailing a spec sheet. When the sinks turned out to be too large for the counters, in less than an hour smaller sized duplicate sinks were delivered to the house. There were many options for sinks, counters and tub surrounds from which to choose but we opted for a basic upgrade. I am pleased with the fresh new look, although I have yet to repaint walls and cabinets which will bring it all together. Consumers Choice had earlier replaced all our house windows and we were quite satisfied so we returned to them to replace our entrance door. The salesman took his time showing us options and making suggestions There was no pressure. The installers did a first-rate job - friendly, efficient, precise, cleaned up everything, made sure we knew how the lock operated, etc. A perfect install. The only caveat was that it took three months from when we ordered to the install (we had been quoted 6-8 weeks) mostly because the lockset we ordered was out of stock. We pushed for the install and got a lockset similar to the one we ordered. Update July 2015: Over a month ago I called the office asking for a quote on another door and window and to-date, no response whatsoever from the company!

Done Right had replaced our roof a few years back and we were pleased so we called again when our eavestroughs were pulling away from the house. The estimator was friendly and helpful. We had the 28 year old system replaced with a wider eavestrough that included a screen. They helped us match the colour exactly. We were not in a rush but it was at least 6 weeks before the work was done as the installers were very busy. Once they made the appointment, however, they turned up on time and the job was completed quickly and efficiently. It is not one of those jobs with a wow factor but I suppose it is good that you can't tell the eaves are new - they blend right in.

We replaced ceramic tile in the foyer and powder room (new porcelain tile), vinyl in the laundry room and kitchen (Torly's cork), and carpet throughout two floors of the home (Torly's engineered hardwood). This was a huge job with lots of upheaval but Speers made it as painless as possible. They kept us informed and work was done as scheduled - in fact they completed the job ahead of time. The crew were helpful, friendly and very efficient; they cared personally about doing an excellent job. They always asked in advance about, for instance, bringing in saws, and cleaned up afterward. One tricky part in particular was custom fitting the floor (Torly's engineered hardwood) underneath the railing for our circular staircase. We were amazed at how good it looked. We love our new floors. We ran into an unexpected hitch with the ceramic floor when we discovered a think plank under the existing floor, changing the level, but their experience paid off in doing a quick workaround. Even initially choosing the product in the Speers Flooring showroom, staff were informative and helpful without being aggressive. We highly recommend Speers Flooring.

We have used Weed Man for many years and have never had a complaint. They really seem to care about their customers. Treatments are carried out on time and with advance notice, and feedback is excellent. They suggest services but are never pushy. Randomly they drop by to ensure the lawn is doing well. Even though we use just the basic program with occasional additional treatments such as aeration, the lawn is always lush and green. Overall, a first-rate company!

Staff are knowledgeable and attentive without being bothersome. Good selection of tiles which is ever-changing. Prices can't be beat. If you want a sample you much purchase a unit, which is a minor inconvenience. Would definitely shop there again.
