Finally a review site that allows you to give zero stars, exactly what this company deserves. This company pays customers to remove negative reviews. I have proof. See attached email. Ordered almost $6000 worth of Valencia furniture (Eastporters house brand) and was assured it would be delivered within 2-3 weeks as I have family coming in from out of town for the Xmas holidays. I had options, closer, but slightly more expensive that would have been able to deliver on time but I chose Eastporters to save a few bucks. And that was a mistake. I started calling a week ago. Spoke to 3 different people none of whom offered any help. They were supposed to find out where my chairs were and why no movement occurred and call me back with a solution. None of them had the decency to even call back. I finally spoke with somebody named Steve claiming to be a manager and he too was of no help. When I explained that I'd spoken to multiple people he said he didn't know who I spoke to or why they didn't help me. He said he wasn't aware of issues and maybe his employee had "gone on vacation". Apparently this was Steve's way of telling me the team he hired were unable to perform their jobs. Way to go Steve! Way to surround yourself with the best and brightest. And Steve wasn't even man enough or professional enough to call me himself. He had an administrative assistant speak to me because he clearly couldn't take it. After dozens of phone calls to 3 different companies (Eastporters/Valencia, the freight company) I finally received a delivery date. This new date meant we had to cancel the family excursions (Which we'd been planning for months) to sit around and wait for furniture that was supposed to be delivered 2 weeks ago. I ordered "white glove" service. The delivery driver said he was going to leave it on the curb until I demanded white glove which included room placement, setup and removal of packaging. When the driver did show up he was rude to my wife and complaining about his job. He incorrectly setup the furniture (apparently matching wire colors was above his pay grade), stepped on a plug and bent it and then had the audacity to ask my wife to carry a box for him so he could "get done faster". After posting negative reviews on various sites, I finally spoke with Lucas. For the "inconvenience" he offered to refund my extended warranty purchase ($525). However, this was contingent on me removing my negative reviews from various sites, and specifically Home Stars. A week later, after zero contact from Lucas, I received a call from "Dina". She offered me an additional $500 to remove my negative reviews. I contacted them repeatedly to get the refunds processed. I was then informed by Peter that Dina was no longer at the company and they would not be honouring the $500 refund. They did still offer the $525 refund of the extended warranty. They reneged on their offer to buy me off. That's the kind of company this is. They pay people to remove negative reviews. I also discovered that they delete and screen reviews from their website. If you have any issues with your purchase or their service, don't expect to be able to alert others as they actively screen their own website reviews. All this to say, the experience is awful and Eastporters was zero help. Avoid this company and save yourself the headaches.
