Mike did a bang up job! He arrived earlier and started looking around the house even before we got there. He was / is very friendly He was great at explaining and making sure to show us important things (to show us everything and comment on everything, good or bad) He didn't make me feel like any of my questions were dumb (even though some of them were simple things that I knew were basic knowledge) He was very thorough to leave all of us feeling quite happy with our choice of inspector I had the very thorough written report with pictures in 2 hours after the inspection He goes over everything with you as he's doing it and at the end of the appointment to sum it all up so there's no confusion about what's wrong and what things you should be hurrying to schedule other expert inspections for He was very clear about which potential problems are just good to be aware of and which actually need to be fixed (and how fast) He did not grumble about because the house's attic access was in an oddly configured tiny closet. He's happy to be called if you have more questions later or need a referral for a specialist inspector or contractor of some sort. I'm honestly pretty sure there are more that I'm just not thinking of. I highly recommend Mike Heely as the best home inspector in Guelph.
