Always prompt and courteous, neat and tidy. Focused on the job and getting done, no time wasted and have always been able to resolve our equipment challenges. This visit, Frank called to give us his arrival time and promptly had us up and running with good recommendations for upgrades.

We needed a particularily high and lengthy downspout attached to the house and eaves. Vlad quickly got the job done, in just over an hour. He was prepared with the right parts, tools and equipmment. Communications onsite and in advance were clear and courteous. It was a smallish job, but scheduled promptly within a week or so of our first call. When we have similar needs in the future we'd be happy to call them back in.

Full Service. Solutions. Tremendous Value. Satisfaction. And, a gorgeous yard make over! That’s what we got from Blair and the team at Double Tree Landscaping Inc. Our landscaping needs ended up being extensive, largely because Mother Nature surprised us this past spring/winter with a failed retaining wall that needed to be removed and replaced, and an existing retaining structure that needed to be remediated to curtail future issues. As a result of the retaining wall failures, the fence along the supported area had begun to lean dramatically and the supported patio had started to crumble into the adjacent yard. With that much to attend to, it seemed logical to also explore some additional upgrades given the trades and equipment would be onsite; the old, but perfectly fine fence opposite the failing fence should likely be replaced to match the new fence and we’ve long wanted to second grade level stone patio further back on our lot. Many of the landscapers we called, if they responded, were weeks before they could see us and months before they could book us in. Moreover, many of those that we could meet, most often, could only do part of the job. We feared a summer lost to project management, dealing with multiple vendors to get the job done across an extended time line and possible further summer rain damage. Blair was quick to respond to our inquiries and proposed a reasonable timeline for starting and completing our work – all of it; retaining walls rebuilt, custom fences and gates, lawns and gardens replaced and remediated, new custom laid stone patios. We undertook planting the gardens, but Blair was quick to refer us to an affordable designer who made excellent plant recommendations. Landscaping to any extent, by any contractor, is not inexpensive. It can be “cheap”; if you cut corners on materials or (skilled) labor, you get what you pay for. We wanted the job done right, esthetically to our liking and on budget; not necessarily “cheap”, but for the expense incurred we expected quality, value, timeliness and no surprises. Doubletree Delivered. Blair patiently worked through numerous budget revisions and was exceptionally consultative in his approach to our dilemmas and upgrade goals, proposing options for how to go about things and the materials that would meet our esthetic and budgetary goals. The work was extensive, but the worksite was always tidy, safe, and never left in a chaotic disarray. We can’t say enough about Blair’s crew of congenial craftspeople. Weather permitting they worked a solid day and then some, focused on getting the job done right. Their pride and careful attention to detail was obvious and appreciated. Blair’s management and oversight of our project was exceptional, posing no extraordinary burden on us. He and the crew were always flexible, consultative and accommodating. When there were challenges, they were communicative and always came to us with a solution (or two). We were never left wondering what was going on, or what was happening when. There were no budget surprises and the end product met and exceeded expectations. We couldn’t be happier to recommend Blair and the team at Double Tree Landscaping.

I want to compliment and thank Rick and the crew at Rid-of-It Toronto. I had a huge amount of waste concrete and brick that needed to be moved up hill and disposed of. Because of the amount of concrete and the length and slope of my yard, I wanted not delays or surprises. Unlike some other removal companies, Rid-Of-It was happy to send someone by to inspect the job and estimate, as were Rick and his crew on the selected work day. They completed the job, were good humored about the situation (moving concrete, uphill) and left the job-site clean and tidy. Not the least expensive, nor the most expensive - but I've learned the hard way that cheap quotes are not always the best. The overall value provided by Rid-of-it met and exceeded my expectations. Will probably be my first and only call next time I need junk removed.
