Llanel in Oshawa

I was referred to Austin Jordan by a friend in November of 2022. Things started off relatively well in December of 2022, the demolition was quick and things appeared to be running very efficiently. However, once construction began a few of the things that were discussed were all of a sudden news to Caryl. Such as a vanity light shelving and a shower niche being included in the bathroom. I shrugged it off to some miscommunication, as Caryl was initially very likable and corrected these issues. We had asked for a full renovation of the bathroom, however when painting began we realised that none of the drywall had been replaced. Again, Caryl assured me that they had sanded it down and it will look better than before. I still trusted him at this point. When the bathroom was almost finished, Caryl informed me that there was something wrong with the electrical and that he couldn't get the vanity light to work. He suggested I bring in a professional electrician and that he woke reimburse me the cost. I brought in a professional, who informed me that all of the electrical on the vanity and the pot lights were done incorrectly and we're basically a fire hazard. The electrician fixed the wiring issues and told me "whoever did this work doesn't know what they're doing" Caryl came back to fix the holes that needed to be opened which is when I told him what the cost of the electrician was. He assured me that he would get me my money ASAP. I won't mention how many times or how often I asked Caryl for this money. But it's been a year since our project finished, in which time we also had to call plumber to fix a leak in the bathtub that was installed by Caryl that damaged our living room ceiling. Caryl has ignored my calls and texts, when he does answer has an excuse and assured me that he will have my money. The only recourse I have is writing this review showcasing what my experience with Caryl and Austin Jordan was like. It's not a lot of money, but it's the principle of that matter. He promised me that he would make me whole after coming out of my own pocket to fix his mistakes and a year later, he has still yet to do so.
