Great job! Our small construction job -- to install three sheds -- was done in one day. Van Work was prompt, courteous and efficient and kept to the quoted price. They were pleasant to have around. I would hire them again, in fact we've asked Reza to give us a quote on another project! Delighted to have found them and very appreciative of HomeStars service. Thanks!

We are thrilled with My Home Solution! Tomas did a great job! We recently had a new under-cabinet hood fan installed over our stove. That necessitated moving the hinges on our cabinet doors and rehanging them. Sounds simple. However, the fan installers would not touch our cabinets. Finding a skilled cabinet-maker who would do it on-site and before Christmas was a challenge. We called around and could not find anyone. We considered doing it ourselves but we were afraid of making a mistake -- and then having to replace the cupboards. Fortunately we decided to put out a request on Homestars, and within six hours we had responses. Thankfully Tomas accepted the job and did it superbly! We will use My Home Solution again, and highly recommend them.

We were recommended to Robert at Freeflo by our appliance repairman. We got outstanding and very speedy service. Robert dropped by to give us a quote on buying and installing a dryer booster fan. He could easily have sold us on the $500 parts/installation which we thought we needed -- but he did not. He investigated (which involved climbing onto the roof of our condo) and then told us that the booster fan was not necessary and would not solve the issue we are having with our dryer. We appreciated his honesty -- and will hire Freeflo in the future for vent cleaning.

Buyer Beware! We got trapped into Price's Three Year Contract and it cost us $1052.97. In 2014, we made the BIG mistake of signing a three-year contract for Price's Alarm when we lived in Victoria. We recently moved to Vancouver (August 2015) and wanted to cancel Price's and use a local Vancouver security company which better suited our needs. The new company has superior service which includes wireless video cameras with remote video monitoring integrated with the Alarm.com system. Price's does not offer that functionality. We are very unhappy about Price's policies which did not allow us to cancel the contract, give the equipment back and pay out a reasonable amount. We could not even transfer the alarm to the new tenants. We feel that Price's policy is unfair and bad business practice. They were rigid and inflexible when it came time to move and this ended our relationship on a very bad note. We paid out the remaining contract of $1,052.97 and have cancelled our service. We have no need for the equipment, or Price's monitoring and so all of that money is just down the drain. We would NOT recommend Price's to anyone for this reason. Aug.20th update: Price's reply is unsatisfactory and their claim about offering video is both incorrect and misleading. Their "wireless video cameras along with Alarm.com" can only be seen by the client -- not by the monitoring station. The new system from a local Vancouver company gives us LIVE video monitoring which can be sent direct to the police as evidence of a break-in. Price's was totally inflexible in coming up with a reasonable solution due to our move. We cannot recommend Price's.

We regret that you’ve had a negative experience and sincerely thank you for your feedback. We work hard to maintain a professional level of customer service and regret we did not meet your expectations.
Unlike other companies, we are flexible in offering security systems at many different terms. We are just as willing to install an alarm system with a 3 year term as we are with a month-to-month agreement. It would appear you chose the longest service term available in order to take full advantage of the greatest incentive offered, which resulted in a less amount to be paid towards the installation costs. We try to be as clear as possible regarding any commitment on our service agreements, and encourage you to carefully consider this before signing any service term commitment with any company.

Situations change and people move all the time. As discussed with you previously, we have a move program and would’ve been happy to provide you the security services you were seeking at your new Vancouver residence. (We were taken aback by the comment we don’t offer wireless video cameras along with Alarm.com as this is simply untrue. We’ve had this available to our customers for several years.) Our Vancouver office has knowledgeable staff, and technically certified and experienced technicians. With our head office located in Victoria, we regret that you felt we weren’t “local” enough to serve you in Vancouver. As for your agreement, after discussing the option for the new occupants to take over service at this location, you chose to have the system removed instead of pursue that avenue.
Unfortunately, we are unable to make use of your equipment - we don’t sell “used” equipment to clients.
