Gas Water Tank Replacement Excellent service provided by Clement, Dennis and Bill. Clement set up an installation date and was kind enough to change the date when asked to do so (on short notice). Dennis and Bill did the installation. They were on time, pleasant, courteous and friendly, clean (placing drop cloths where needed and thoroughly cleaning the work area after the work was completed), efficient and thorough. They provided a complete explanation on how to maintain the tank (periodically flushing to remove any sediment), adjust the water temperature and diagnose the readings on the control panel. They even discussed options on how to provide immediate hot water on upper floors instead of waiting for the cold water in the line to be flushed. I cannot say enough about how good the company is. *********************************

Do not deal with Bath Emporium. They have a very good showroom with a great variety of products, but always compare prices with other suppliers before making any purchase. Managers are interested in contracts and dollars, rather than customer service. They will not do anything unless paid beforehand. I had a contract to do a bathroom renovation and it turned into a litany of problems. They noted supply issues to explain price increases for items ordered. On some occasions, the item delivered was not the same as the item ordered. When negotiating after renovation work has started there is seldom any middle ground and it winds up as Their Way or Walk Away, which is hard to do when work is not finished. The proficiency of their tradesmen varies and the result can vary particularly if an unskilled one does the work; however I must say that the supervisor (if left to his own devices) will bend over backward to make the job right. However, in my case a Stop Work Order was issued by management before work was completed and I had to use other tradesmen to complete the project. Dealing with them is not worth the hassle. NOTE - Their warranty is worthless. A month or so after the reno, I had another leak behind the shower wall (which caused water damage in the kitchen ceiling). Instead of standing behind their work and fixing the problem, they asked for $350 to merely diagnose the problem with no estimate on the cost of fixing it. I solved and fixed the problem myself.

I hired Mitchell to replace squeaky hardwood floors and paid half up front (BIG mistake). He was repeatedly late starting (about 3 weeks) - always had a weak excuse for delays. Old flooring was removed, new subfloor installed (but only screwed down instead of 'glue and screw' as promised) and now subfloor has new squeaks. Fireplace glass was shattered, but still not replaced. COVID stopped work, but now tried to restart (after Stage 2 relaxed rules) but now he refuses to reply to my repeated emails and phone calls. After two weeks of no response, I am tired of waiting and walking on subfloors, so I am writing to warn prospective customers..

As so many other customers have said, I too would highly recommend DialOne Professional Duct Cleaning. Our 2600 sq. ft. house is over 40 years old and has never had the duct cleaned. Amjad was the technician assigned to do our house and he was very polite, amicable and professional. His prior assignment took longer than expected, so he courteously called to say that he was going to be about 20 minutes late. Upon arriving he explained what he would do, took pictures of the duct return and proceeded to cover all of the supply vents. It was a cold day so he helped installing a curtain to reduce the flow of air coming through the door . He then cleaned each of the supply vents. When dust flew out of some of the vents, he quickly cleaned up the dust before going to the next vent. After all of the supply vents were cleaned, he continued on to clean each of the return vents. He finished by cleaning the furnace cavity and sealing all of the holes that were cut into the ducts. He then disinfected and tested the system to ensure that all was well and showed us the BEFORE and AFTER pictures so that we could see the difference that the cleaning made. All in all a very professional job well done.
