You always want to have "a guy" - a guy to fix your car, to paint your home, or in this case, to tile a back splash for you. Rick is that guy! Rick is very personable, very honest and upfront about what he's going to do and how much it costs. He will make suggestions and give his input but leaves the ultimate decision to the client on how they want to proceed. Usually my wife and I go with a big box store to subcontract work out and have that guarantee, but whenever we can we like to go local. Boy are we glad we went with Rick! He was punctual, clean, did his work and was minimally invasive with our weekend. The final project looked fantastic. If you need tile work in the GTA, I would recommend Rick's Tile Installation in a heartbeat. Thank you sir!

We've used Rick a number of times in the past; once for our refrigerator and a few trips to see what was up with our A/C unit. So when my wife noticed a discernible lack of cool air during the hottest week of the summer, we knew something was up. We called Rick and sent out his son Ravi who called before he was going to arrive (a service I love so we know when they are coming*). Ravi went to work quickly and saw the compressor wasn't functioning and replaced it. With the compressor working and the A/C running, Ravi soon realized the unit was out of freon (the unit is about 20 years old). Rick had suggested previously we might have an older unit and supplied Ravi with the appropriate freon. After filling unit up, he turned it back on but there was another problem: something was up with the coil. Seeing that this was going to cost close to what a new unit would cost, Ravi gave us options and we decided to stop trying to fix and start trying to find something new. To help with the costs (which were closer to $500) Ravi took back the new compressor and drained the freon and charged us a third of what it should have costed! Plus, he offered the services of his brother who runs an A/C and HVAC installation business. Thank you SO much Rick and Ravi for looking out for the average home owner! Your calm, cool demeanor and attention to detail make you a pleasure to work with!

So in the morning I see that the rubber mat in front of our sink was wet. I thought my wife had opened the dishwasher (which is beside the sink) and some of the water had escaped overnight. I wiped it up and went to work, only to find on my return that there was more water when I got home. Looks like there was something wrong with the dishwasher. I attempted to look at what the problem was but apparently only made it worse. It was later in the evening, around 8 PM, and we had to call someone as even though I turned off all the water, water was still dripping out. I called a few plumbers (who don't fix appliances) and one of them recommended Appliances Repair Oakville. We reviewed them online and it looked good so we called. We made an appointment and asked for someone to be there as early as possible. They gave us a time of between 8 and 11 AM, but the next morning we had a knock on the door at 8:07 AM. Sergei was friendly and very informative. Had diagnosed the problem right away and also noticed some future problems. Sergei fixed the problem promptly. He was polite and very agreeable. I would highly recommend Appliances Repair Oakville to anyone. Thank you!

We had a break-in. Horrible circumstance. But we went to Fasada in Oakville and talked to the owner Ivica. Fasada had a great reputation and certainly did not disappoint. Ivica told us we might have to wait a while for doors (due to high demand and time of year) but after listening to our circumstance, he saw the human side of things and put the business part aside. Not only did he special order for us, but he delivered on the time he said he would. The installers were quite professional. We did have problems with a screw holding our door lock plate together but Ivica came out several times and ensured it was fixed properly. Now THAT is service! If you are in the Halton region, skip the box stores or low end door stores promising you the world to get your business... choose Fasada. Quality product and quality people. Thank you!

Unprofessional, uncaring, undeniably one of the WORST businesses I've ever dealt with... and I use the term "business" very loosely. I purchased a group coupon like others who have written reviews on this group and booked a duct cleaning. Less than 24 hours before they were to do the work, I received a phone call from the young lady whom I dealt with originally. She informed me they had to cancel my cleaning due to the fact I was the only client in the area where they had to come and clean and their policy is that they have to have at least two clients in an area to come out. What the...? Then she told me she could book me in a week and half later but if I was the only client that day, they would also cancel. I had had enough: I asked for the manager of 360 to call me. Had a bad feeling about the whole experience so I saw the reviews on Homestars and called the group coupon company and got a refund. The manager never did call me. Class act. Way to treat customers.

My wife originally went to Homestars and found a different repair shop but we were told by that company we were too far away (they in Toronto, we in Oakville). However, the best thing they did was recommend Rick at AC Repair to us. Rick is a very quiet but dedicated individual. We talked to him and asked him to come out and diagnose what was wrong with our refrigerator. He actually figured out what the problem was over the phone but came and showed us the problem. He gave us two options -- to replace the part... or lubricate it / clean it as best as possible and let it be, as the appliance was over a dozen years old. Unfortunately, we should have replaced the part while he was there as several days later, the refrigerator part gave up the ghost. The fridge started heating up again. In a panic we called Rick and he re-arranged his schedule on a Saturday night to come over and save the day! It was a lesson well learned -- trust the expert! We used Rick one last time a week or so later when a storm blew out a capacitor on our A/C unit, the night before friends were coming over on a very hot summer weekend. We called Rick on Saturday morning and once again, he somehow accommodated us to fix the problem. He is a life saver! Rick is mentoring his son who is following in his dad's footsteps. That young man is in good hands. Rick is a caring person, something you do not expect in his industry. He is honest and truthful, hard-working and helpful. My family cannot express how much we recommend Rick and A/C Appliance Repair.
