Gabe and his crew were respectful of neighbours, installed with care and diligence in a timely manner, and were especially attentive to details. Went above the norm to marry my existing cedar shakes and board on first floor exterior with the Hardie Board. Installed custom tongue and groove cedar soffits to mirror existing cedar garage. Any issues were easily resolved since Gabe communicates effectively. Worksite was left tidy and clean each night. All quotes and paper work were done expediently.

Jason was recommended to me by my plumber. I am doing a partial gut and full renovation of my cute East York 90+ year-old house. Even though I engaged Bruce Home Comfort to do the entire hvac for the house, I needed a gas line moved and the hot water tank disconnected so that I could do the major repairs while preparing for framing. Jason came by promptly to do these task. Yet, once here, I found a number of other minor (yet vital to prep for framing) that interfered with readying my basement for framing. Jason helped sort out the issues as well as remedy all of them for me. He was patient and careful in understanding my needs, worked well with my assistant, and was fully prepared to meet all the issues as they arose. He offered solutions that made the entire jumble of sorting out years of shoddy work so that I could continue with my work stress-free and much more cohesive for the overall plan. He was calm and seemed unflappable with all of it. I look forward to the remainder of his work on my house and am confident that he was the ideal choice for hvac for such a project as mine. Working on older homes is a chore since there are so many unknowns and unanticipated complications. He fit well with the vibe of how this work is being done; his disposition seems well suited for all the challenges that my house poses. I highly recommend him.

Jeff was recommended to me. I had heard about his work from one of his apprentices a few years ago. This person was very impressed with Jeff. When taking quotes for the re-wiring of a semi-gut and fully renovated house (96 yr old East York detached two-story), I took a quote from Jeff as well. Wow. Not only was he the only person to show up on time, he was the only person who did not bat an eye when I discussed my plans for HDMI, USB, and coaxil being brought with the wiring to the main rooms of the house. I felt he understood my vision and that he could meet all my wiring needs. He gave me a quote that was comparable to the other quotes. Yet his arrived the night of the walk-through. His timeliness, his understanding of my plans, and his courteous manner made his team the clear choice. Since then all communication has been timely, his ability to work well with the carpenter and plumber, with me, and my project make me very excited that I have made the right decision. He has not begun the job, as of yet, but I am confident that it will be consistent with the manner he has display until now. I highly recommend him.

I was first expecting a small repair to fix a hole around the chimney that caused a leak into my bathroom. When the lead roof person when up on the roof, he found that I required half my roof to be re-shingled. I had no experience with roofing and had to trust that they were telling me the truth. I have heard horror stories about roofing fiasco. I was given a quote and an expected start period (one week). The team lead person contacted me within that week and began work within the expected time frame. The work was done quickly and timely (as far as I could tell, since I am on the ground and ignorant it is hard to determine what is going on. There was a lot of activity and things moving up and down the roof. I was amazed, after half a day and they said they were done! Here are the best parts: 1. They stuck to the quote - I later found out that there was extensive legacy errors on my roof. Such as the previous owners shingled over a hole (in other words, did not plywood and the hole was over an opening to my attic) which Zaza found,. fixed with plywood and shingles. The vent work was included in the quote, yet they found a condemned one, removed and repaired the hole, while upgrading the two required vents. 2. They found that the chimney (the original problem) was without a boot nor a skirt (a very bad thing), so they bought, installed, and remedied that problem. 3. There was no mess. At all. They arrived, moved potted plants and other things (I did not have to prepare for them) to prepare the work area. Once done there was nothing to be cleaned up. Boots off when came in side without having to be asked. Very tidy and polite workers. 4. Zaza owner, Fred, coordinated the whole process and checked in once the job was complete. He is easy to talk to. At no time did I feel condescended to nor did any 'red flags' go up (as a single woman sometimes I face awkward situations). He was professional yet witty and easy going. Always accessible as well (returned calls and such, always). They did more work than originally expected. They found and repaired problems not anticipated. They STAYED within the quote (even thought they bought plywood, a boot, and such)!!!! I was very pleased. My bathroom leak led to much more of an expense than I thought. Luckily that required a new half roof. Since potential disasters were averted because they found and repaired unexpected problems while repairing the original hole. Highly recommended! OH, they do lots of other stuff. All of which I would trust them with.

My front steps and landing needed to be replaced. I had a vision of what I wanted built. I asked around and the folk at Parkview Building Supplies (where I buy rocks for gardening) recommended Paul. I drew up my plans, we discussed, had a quote, and agreed to build the project. He and his son did the work. A snafu at the beginning had to be dealt with (the support beams under the porch were rotted through) and repaired. This elevated the cost yet was mandatory and dealt with well. I changed the dimensions of the pt frame and he made changes to accommodate easily. The landing and stairs are lovely. He added finishing details that I did not know to plan for. I am doing the landscape part myself which he was fine with. I thought that he was approachable, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. The work was excellent. The finished project is nicer than I expected. All in all, I highly recommend Paul.
