My deck had a vinyl surface that was in need of replacement. The builder had installed a low grade/thin vinyl cover that was unsuitable for a cover over a living area. I met the gentlemen at Atlas at a North Vancouver garden show and later called them to give me an estimate. I eventually chose them to do the job and they came and completed the work in one day. They were friendly, efficient and professional and at the end of the day we had a new deck.

My fireplace in the front room failed to ignite, so I called NS Fireplace (one of very few who would actually turn up) and they sent their repairman, Bob, out to fix the problem. He identified the issue quickly and repaired it. Several gas fireplace repair shops tried to sell me a new fireplace insert, but not NS Fireplace. Bob is also looking after a problematic gas fireplace in the family room and I have found him to be friendly and efficient.

My father died Feb. 1 and when cleaning out the house we soon realized that we had far more rubbish than we could handle, so we called Eamonn at Green Coast Rubbish. He came out and gave us a quote and then got busy and removed the rubbish, sweeping up the garage afterwards. This company endeavours to recycle as much material as possible which fit with our own thinking as well. We were happy with the service.

My father died on Feb. 1 and when we went to sell the house we realized there was a leaky tank in the backyard. We hired Tank Tech and Ian came around and began the difficult work of excavation and clean up. 80 metric tons and $45,000 later, the backyard was clean. The company kept us apprised of what was going on and provided us with the lab results for each test. Yes, it was very expensive, but necessary. Tank Tech left the site like it was before excavation.
