Kits Lighting is one of these specialized lighting stores we can't possibly do without. Conveniently situated on Broadway bus route this neighbourhood quaint store carries everything from specialty light bulbs to do-it-yourself wiring supplies to crystal chandeliers. Reasonably priced, good hours.

Dulux Paints has worn a few hats in the past 10 years. It used to be Glidden Paints, ICI Paints, now it's Dulux. We remodelled our house and needed to change wall colours throughout. I chose to buy our paint at this store for many reasons. Staff is excellent, knowledgeable and helpful. The store accommodates mixing paint samples for $10/can. Trying before buying is relevant in this case. I ordered Dulux in Diamond finish. Excellent product! It applies nicely on the walls and it's very durable. My order was ready in a time and it just happened to catch a weekly sale of 2 for 1. I would recommend this store to anyone needing to paint their home.

I went to Coe's to purchase lumber, stain and hardware for a DIY coffee table I saw on a website. I'm an amateur with little experience in the matter. The guy working in the lumber section took the time to chose the best looking fir piece that would be appropriate for my table top. He custom cut the lumber for me to my desired specifications. In the hardware section I was helped to find the right materials and tools for sanding and staining the wood I just purchased and the staff answered my questions to my satisfaction. The store carried the right screws and bolts, glue, painting brushes. Reasonably priced for a neighbourhood hardware store. Great supportive staff and good advice, my table turned out well.

I took in this antique, Italian settee, expensive piece of furniture. I wanted to modernize it and have a feather cushion made, upholster the seat, back, and armrests. I brought in my own white denim fabric, and my own new Swiss down feather bed to use as filling for cushion. I spent 1/2 day in their store to pull all nail heads off my settee, and left my furniture bare bones for them to work on. Well, what they did, they folded the bed in half and filled the inside corners of my cushion with old, scrap foam. The new upholstery was mounted lose on it and they lost my fabric remnants needed to tailor 3" long arm protectors for my couch. When I called back and complained mentioning that they did not abide by our upholstery agreement we have made prior to me bringing this furniture in, the lady owner was rude, snubbed me and hung up on me. Horrible work, horrible service.

We had a raccoon that had been living in the crawl space (I think) in my roof. He was making lots of noise and we were worried about damages. We called these guys (on a neighbour recommendation) and they came to inspect, free of charge. The quote for the job wasn't bad either and we went for it. Nice and pleasant people, worked efficiently and with great care for our property and the animal. They relocated, apparently, the raccoon into its natural habitat.
