I'm giving Atlas Care a 10 star rating for work they DIDN'T do! Let me explain. My family and I woke up on Christmas day to a cold house and a boiler that wasn't working. With the extended family coming for dinner, we were in a bit of a panic with memories of the ice storm/blackout from last year. I did a quick check online and came across Atlas Care and gave them a call - they promised 24/7, 365 days a year service and I was about to test that promise. I got in touch with a live operator who was extremely pleasant and professional who took down my info. Within the hour a service tech called me and talked me through a few quick checks on some switches that could have been thrown. Turns out the backflow one needed to be reset. That easy. So comes to my point of not doing any service. Well, in actuality, they did an immense service to me that day. Could have been an easy $200 for a 10 minute house call and I would have been grateful given the situation. But the tech (should have got his name), performed an even bigger service for me. And the next time, when I have I need for a furnace company, it will be a call to Atlas Care. Guaranteed. Many thanks!

Vitaliy was the first guy I called and I'm glad I did. I had a relatively small siding job last summer and found his business on Homestars. Good reviews, seemed like a hands-on owner operated business, gave him a shout. Vitaliy was quick to return my call and came by the same day to offer a quote. We talked about the job for a while - Vitaliy was extremely knowledgeable, answered all my questions and gave me a very reasonable quote. Hired him on the spot and the job was done extremely well about a week later. I would highly recommend Vitaliy and VCS to everyone.

Dave and his team run their business like I would run a business. Check that...WAY better than I could run a business. Dave and his crew are everything that you would want in a contractor, nothing less. Prompt, courteous, communcative, easy to deal with, great work, friendly efficient crew, and reasonable cost. In fact I didn't even meet Dave. Given a busy work schedule, I was never around, but that didn't keep Dave from staying in touch. And getting the chimney repair done without any fuss. Highly recommend to everyone.

When you're making a significant investment in a service, it's not just about the result, but also how it was done. I'm very pleased to report that the FHDG (now Ashlar Landscapes--Ed) team of Daimon and Terry proved to be an outstanding choice in every respect. It was easy to see that these guys CARE about their customer and the service they provide - right from the initial consult and quote to the final product. Daimon was incredibly helpful in the original design, selection of materials and suggestions for making it all look great. For example, the natural stone steps garner stares from passersby every day. And to top it all off, they worked diligently and quickly getting the job done in just one week. Did I mention attention to detail was top notch? Companies this good book up very quickly - better call them soon. You won't regret it.

I first used Better Contracting to replace gutters on my previous home a couple of years ago and found them to be fair in price and solid in workmanship. Desmond came out to mesaure and quote the job and I found him affable and knowledgeable. As the point man and face of the company I felt good they would do the job right. Fast forward to earlier this year and a new home with gutters that looked older than the 80 year old house. I called Better Contracting again and very quickly got Desmond to come out and provide an estimate. Again, same detailed quote and, not more than 3 weeks after signing, a brand new gutter and soffit system. The quality of workmanship as well as clean up was exactly as it should be. So, the real test for any service - would I call on them again? You bet.

From the very beginning, I had a great feeling about Bill and Laura. During the tender stage, out of five contractors, they were the most prepared, knowledgeable and committed to the job. Bill took the time to actually explain the various components of the project and Laura gave us a detailed schedule that beat anything the competitors provided. That, to me, was the closer - given the pressure of a tight timeline, I was reassured that Bravehart could meet my needs. And they delivered. Bill's crew, Nick and Randy, expertly handled the construction which involved a new addition, jacking and levelling tired old floors, new bathrooms and kitchen, knocking down walls and restructuring to achieve the open concept the design called for. There were many sub trades involved in the project, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, foundation, flooring etc. and Bill and Laura managed them effectively. And, though the job grew in scope several times, they were able to schedule (and reschedule) to keep it very close to the original timelines. So, several months after project completion, we're continuing to enjoy our 'new' home and extremely happy with the results. There have been a couple of small issues after the fact and Bill has been extremely responsive - no disappearing contractors here. In fact, when he says there's a lifetime guarantee, I believe it. So at the end of it all, I would not hesitate to call on Bravehart again. They delivered what they said they would, when they would and within budget. And the company slogan "In your driveway everyday"? It's absolutely true.
