My husband was going to clean the moss from our roof himself, but we were advised against it, as simply pulling it off might damage the shingles. Instead we had Regan Roofing do it professionally - a 2-step process where they first pulled off what could come off easily, with no damage, then sprayed the rest with a solution that would kill the remaining moss. They then come back about a month later to remove the now-dead moss. I liked that he explained the process to me, and seemed very efficient. However, I didn't expect that the moss that was removed would just be left where it fell, all over the garden and sidewalks - a real mess. So my husband still had quite a bit of clean-up to do. ;)

Purchased a new dishwasher at Home Depot Richmond; good price, on sale. Then had to wait 2 weeks for delivery and installation. On the day of delivery, two technicians arrived and got the new dishwasher partially installed, but discovered our plumbing was too old and incompatible with the new machine. Unfortunately the two guys who were there were not "allowed" to do the plumbing part - I would have to call Home Depot and arrange for someone else to come do that part, and they would be able to finish the installation. his meant me having to take another day off work. I paid them up front for this additional service and then they left, neglecting to tell me that I couldn't use either the dishwasher or the kitchen sink to do dishes (which I discovered when I tried to hand-wash some dishes and ended up with water all over my floor). The next morning Home Depot called me to verify the additional charge; I asked when I could get the technician to come out to perform the plumbing task, and the woman was surprised, thinking it had already been done. She then supposedly booked a technician to come out "between 10 and 2." After 2pm came and went, I called and was told I was "next in line." Then 3pm - he was on his way; at 4pm I was told that the dispatcher couldn't reach him and didn't know where he was. He assured me that he would do his best to get someone to come out that day - it was a Friday, and I didn't want to go all weekend with no way to do dishes. Around 9pm, the SAME TWO GUYS from the day before showed up, plumbing part in hand. They were very efficient and in short order had the new valve installed and the dishwasher working, the very thing I had been told they were unable (not allowed) to do. So finally the dishwasher was in, and working, but it made me wonder why it couldn't have happened the day before. In short, can't recommend Home Depot as a place to buy a new appliance.

We had been looking for a new refrigerator for a while; did research online and had narrowed it down to a couple of brands/models that were in our price range and well-reviewed. Noticed a similar model was on sale at Coast so went in to take a look. Turns out the exact model we wanted was also on sale, so we sealed the deal. The salesman was very helpful, no high pressure, no attempt to upsell us, just gave us the fridge we wanted at a good price. Also arranged to have the delivery people take away a second dead fridge for us at no additional cost. On delivery, the delivery guys were on time and efficient. At first it looked like they may have to remove the fridge door from both the new and old fridge because of tight clearance into our house, but with a little extra effort and jostling, plus temporary removal of my back door, they managed to squeeze them in and out intact. This was great as removal of the doors would have incurred an additional charge for each fridge. All in all a positive experience and we would shop again at Coast. All in
