pollard doesn't stand behind their work. we had windows installed throughout our home and when we found a problem with the installation of one of our windows we were shocked to find out that Pollard stuck us with the bill to rectify the problem. there response was that they installed the window to "their" liking and that our concerns did not matter. thanks for listening to your customer pollard!!! a really nice way to say that we mean nothing to your business. they just took their money and ran, customers don't mean much judging by our experience.

Approximate cost of services:
$9,000.00

Company Response

This particular installation was a retrofit, which is the insertion of new windows into existing wood frames, versus a full frame removal, or the removal of the entire window frame back to the original studs. With this method of installation the new windows are installed as square and plumb as possible with the use of cedar shims between the old pre-existing wood frame and the new vinyl window frame. The existing frames were both out of square and plumb. The job was successfully completed to the homeowner’s satisfaction in July of 2008, according to the homeowner’s inspection and sign off on our completion certificate.

Seven months later we received a call about one of the bathroom windows that had been changed. Apparently the bathroom was being renovated and new wall tiling was being installed which was not lining up well with the existing wood window frame. This was a pre-existing condition that did not change with the insertion of the new window frame into the original wood frame. The only solution in this case was to remove the insert and the original wood frame and then reinstall a new complete window between the studs. This was done at less than cost.
