Initially, I had thought that IKEA kitchens would be cheap looking, somewhat like some of their furniture. However, I must say that I find their kitchens rather nice. When compared to kitchen products from Home Depot, Rona, or Lowes, IKEA seems to have more interesting styles, and the quality seems for the most part on par with the kitchens from the big box stores. And for our kitchen, IKEA came in at about $1000 less that that of Home Depot, Rona, or Lowes. However, I find that their countertops are very expensive - recommend going elsewhere to get your countertop.
