We came back from our vacation only to find our eavestrough on the side of the house got disconnected and came loose from the wall attachment. The irony is the house is less than 5 yrs old. It goes to speak the workmanship quality of these new homes. We called around for a quick repair and explain the situation. After speaking to a few of the eavestrough repair company, they all quoted minimum $150 to $300. I finally got hold of Ray and mentioned the situation. Ray mentioned that he will be able to give me the actual cost when he gets to the site. He arrived as promise at 1pm and gave me honest assessment. He said he can reattach the eavestrough for $75 and that would last me for another 1 or 2 year because the side seams of the eavestrough opened up and might deteriorate further for any winter of 2. I checked for myself and waht he said was true. He said for another $25 more, its best to just get a new eavestrough installed. He then went to check his truck but didn't have a matching colour. Being a decent man he is, he offered up to put up a temporary eavestrough to protect our basement from water penetration from the big heavy rain (20cm) that was forecasted for the evening. He did not take a penny from us to do this. He said the temporary eavestrough should last for another year or so but he promised to comeback with an eavestrough that matches the same colour as the rest of the eavestroughs around my house. Sure enough he came back the following week as promised, did the job, cleaned the site and as a bonus service inspected the rest of the eavestroughs around the house and confirmed that they are in good condition. This goes to tell how honest this man is. He also provided comment of the sloppy job the builder had done on our soffit - which we took note. Again was not pushing anything to us... and just provided his observation. We will definitely go back to Ray for a return business if we ever has the neeg again. Thank you Ray for being honest and giving us a peace of mind.

It was the coldest day of the year and our furnace stopped working. With 2 young kids at home our priority was to fix the furnace ASAP. We called Sam from Phoenix heating and cooling. He was busy with his commercial accounts north of gta that day and he promised to come by over the weekend. However when we told him, we have 2 young kids at home, he made us a priority. As soon as he was done with his current job....he rushed to our house. It's hard to find business people with such compassion .....but we did. When he was at our house, he thoroughly inspected the furnace and mention that the heat sensor had failed due to dust and debris collecting on the surface. He took it out, cleaned it and our furnace was back on. He also gave us a few tips to save money on repairs in long run.....given the furnace was just under 5 yrs. for all his trouble he charged us only $60. Ironically, we've had similar issue with our brand new furnace a few yrs back at our previous place. We called a big national company and they dispatched someone the following day a noon. It cost us $150 and they made us sign one yr maintenance contract @ 24 per month. What a rip off. I would recommend Sam to anyone considering hvac solution or repair. He is truly an honest man that cares for his customers. Sam...I'm you customer for life!
