I had casement windows I liked that had hardware that did not function properly and needed replacing. Dan from eurotradesmen came to inspect them then went to multi big box hardware stores and eventually to the manufacturer of my windows to find the hardware ( located on the other side of the city). He worked diligently to remove the old hardware (which were rusted) and replaced them. The windows now work like they are brand new. Dan did a fabulous job and I would highly recommend him for any handyman services.

I had my front yard redone and the stone contractor I used recommended Northern Rainmakers. I used them for the irrigation system and they re-worked and embellished much of the existing landscape lighting systems in my front and back yards. I would absolutely recommend them. I dealt with both Sean and Jamie and found them extremely professional and hard working. They were at my home when they said the would be and returned calls promptly. I also found their quotes to be very competitive. I will continue to use them and recommend them to everyone I know.

I called Victory Locks after seeing their rating and reading their reviews on HomeStars. My front door lock broke and I fully expected to have to buy a new one. Tom came to look at it early on a Saturday morning (as I requested), and managed to repair it, saving me quite a lot of money had I had to replace the lock and handset as I expected I would have to do. I found Tom to be honest, very prompt, and reasonably priced.,,,and he even gave me one of his tools that he apparently had multiples of! I have used other locksmiths before but from today onward I will only use Victory Locks.

We needed new eavestroughs, downspouts, and Leafguard installed at our home in the Beach. I had 3 estimates done and North Shore was the cheapest by a small amount. The reason I hired them though, was because Darren called me, discussed the estimate and suggested alternative placement of my downspouts which I hadn't thought of and made so much sense. He was also very professional, could begin the job within a short period of time and had come highly recommended on Homestars. He and his team showed up exactly when they were supposed to and worked non-stop until they finished the job, some 9 hours later. I had chosen a colour for the eavestroughing from a brochure I had been sent and agreed to a colour in advance of their arrival. When they showed up to do the installation, they felt the colour was not the right one and suggested a different colour. They were absolutely right in their colour choice. They also cleaned up before they left and left my yard in better shape than it was before they started. I would highly recommend them and would use only NorthShore for my eavestrough needs in the future.

As I had read in other HomeStars reviews, the owner of the company, Frank, really does answer the phone and talks to you about what product it is you are interested in. I found everyone I dealt with at Doors and More to be very professional and exacting in the estimates and installation of my shower door. I had two different bathrooms outfitted with frameless shower doors within a few months of each other, the first by a company my contractor subcontracted (as I was under renovation at that time), and the second I contracted out to Doors and More. Doors and More did a much neater, more professional job at approximately the same price and were very pleasant and easy to deal with. I highly recommend them.

Mapleleaf was referred to me by my insurance company when our home sustained damage during the ice storm in December. We subsequently discovered nob and tube wiring which we didn't know existed. Alex was very quick to respond and got back to me quickly with an estimate to do the repairs, which we found reasonable. They completed a large job in a reasonable amount of time and continue to do work for me. I have dealt with other electricians (as I was renovating a kitchen when Alex and Tyler started the storm repair work) and Alex's team were so much more skilled, personable, responsive and easier to deal with. I would recommend them unconditionally and when we need an electrician again, I will only deal with them.

Aquatech came very highly recommended on Homestars and because of that I called Andrew and he came to look at the property the next day. He was very professional as were his workers. Andrew knew were in a rush to have the job done as our basement reno was delayed when we found it leaking and had his workers start the job the next day. They were respectful of our property and completed the job in a very timely manner. I also found the estimate very reasonable and Andrew even helped me complete the application to the City of Toronto for reimbursement for the sump pump that was installed. I am extremely happy with Aquatech and would highly recommend them. -----
