C from East Vancouver

I got lots of lights from Robinson Lighting, 5 units worth.. then we came across a fixture that was nice in pictures but ugly in person.. we had to open the box, hold it up to ceiling to find out..so robinson wont allow a return.. I replaced it with a big box store accross the road because I knew if I didn't like it, they have a much better return policy.. now I have a 300.00 chandelier hanging in my storage room. I recommend only if you know 100% what you want and 100% like it, or else eat the consequences. they do have nice stuff though.

Yes its way more expensive than other gutters, yes I got the info through costco. its American, not Canadian, but these gutters are really top notch. we have gutters that are extremely high, and lots of trees on our block.. so Im not going to clean them and having them professionally cleaned is expensive due to the height. so I opted for these leaf guard gutter system.. these are heavier duty and larger service than other gutters and downpipes. each downpipe has a slide out catchment to putt out any small things that get through.. also the lifetime of no clogs is a pretty tempting thing for me as I said.. my gutters are very high and Im not schlepping up that ladder to clean it. Bottom line.. I would have opted for something cheaper if my gutters were regular height and easy to access, but due to situation leaf guard was a no brainer for us.. we like it.. one gripe is the catchments are loud when raining hard, but we put a peice of aquarium filter in there and it dampens the sound a bit.

I've been working with this company for a little while now. I rarely meet responsible, hard working, younger trades, its refreshing to meet Patrick and Co. Patrick and his assistant were great, finished the job before schedule and price was very competitive (meaning cheaper than the other guys).. I've met so many plumbers of the years, the range is vast in skill and service but I have to give Anion top marks!

I've purchased multiple appliances from this store, but one day our sales guy left, he handled some big accounts so offered us good pricing.. but once he left, the other sales guys were unwilling to honor the preferred client pricing, so I found other appliance places to be more willing to help me out. they were unwilling the help us out even though I had invoices showing our historic pricing.. big mistake because we recently had to do a major appliance purchase for an entire building.

We've known Glen for a long time, we dont call him in for small items but if there ever a major plumbing issue, he's the only guy I trust. knowledgeable and has the gear.

Im surprised that an 8+ company in homestars gave me such bad service. Project had multiple issues, some of the crew are good and some were negligent. I had a major pipe with a crack that I called the manager about, he assured me that the pipe fitter would have followed code, and wouldnt even check it out.. I had to pay another company to come fix it. There were other small issues, leaking sprinkler lines and missing heads that got sorted out but the major connection being installed poorly and not rememdied was enough to turn me off. install was also late, I know if was busy time of year, but its hard to schedule work around guys who dont show up when appointed. Have to say, they did have one superstar employee who was helpful and fixed the little problems the other crew made. he was the one employee who saw the big problem and confirmed it wasn't proper the one star is for him

I've been coming to this place for years. figured I should write a review.. this is THE appliance place if you are looking for the best non haggling price in appliances and I would say best overall prices if you are purchasing entry level appliances. I shopped at Coast for a long time, but when my regular sales guy retired, so did my good pricing, so I had to start shopping around. I work for a management company so I need to buy rental suite appliances all the time. We deal with Laurence at Handy most of the time, really nice, helpful and informative guy who always returns my calls. They also seem to be one of the only places that stock smaller size/apartment sized appliances regularly.
