Firstly I’d like to thank Homestars for introducing me to Hofstetter Landscaping. I couldn’t have been in better hands. When the owner Rick, came over for the first meeting I felt at ease. He was knowledgeable and respectful but not pushy or pretentious like the other companies I had interviewed. He listened to my wish list with artistic suggestions but practical sensibilities. His quotes were fair and designs were impressively clean and balanced. When I pulled back on my wish list after reviewing my own financial realities Rick didn’t batter an eyelash. There was no pressure. He speaks honestly and sincerely. He was there for my project and me. The workers were respectful and courteous. They worked hard and with conscientious regard to not only my property but for the neighbours. They came punctually at proper working times. They thoroughly cleaned the driveway, sidewalk and the street of any bits of debris before leaving each day. The workmanship turned out immaculate. After this long cold winter I will see what the ice will reveal, and I have no hesitation to call Rick. He is so comfortably approachable. Quality is hard to come by these days. I’m so glad I found it with Rick and his team at Hofstetter Landscaping. Sincerely, Anna.

Anna I have to admit that you have to be my favorite customer of all time, you have a wonderful smile that is so inviting and warm. You make everybody feel like welcome family. Everyday you were there to welcome the crew in a warm and happy mood and they loved your coffee and treats. Ashleigh and I have enjoyed becoming friends and going to dinner a few times. On that note it is probably time to do that again soon, so Ashleigh will call you, and I'll be out soon to check up on the job just to make sure everything is still ok. Well all that above was on a personal note. As regards to your comments above, Thank You I really appreciate everything you had to say about our crew and especially about the daily clean up. I am a stickler for the clean up, I guess its a pet peeve, but to me it is so important, I feel a clean job site and clean trucks and properly put away equipment and tools tell you just about all you need to know about a company. When your property is left clean each day and the site nice and tidy it tells the world you care, One about your customer, Two about the neighbours and Three you have pride in what you do. You said you are glad you found us and we are glad we found you. Thanks...Rick

I completely identify with Rafael & Ewa’s posts. I bought a beautiful new home from Glen Rouge Homes. The Purewood Inc. happen to be in one of the model homes. The dark chocolate with black granite counter top was gorgeous, so we totally jumped in and picked it for our new home. Rafael, it's been 2.5 years and 6 cupboard doors and 2 valances in the corner where most of the kitchen prep is done are unwrapping. It was this past Christmas, Dec. 2013 that suddenly they all started to let go. Ewa, I have also noticed the how the cooking oil has attracted to the doors and you are correct it is impossible to remove. I’ve tried grease cutting dish detergent, Pinesol and now I'm trying to use the micro fibre clothes as I don’t want to harm the vinyl surface. Peter Cheeseman, the contact person says: “I have taken a look at your pictures and the light valance and the door the vinyl has shrunk from heat , probably from a kettle or toaster. Heat damage is not covered under warranty however we remake doors at 47 ½ % discount which works out to $23.63 for an 8ft valance and a door 18 x 30 would cost $54.34 EA as an example. Please send sizes of you affected doors and I will cost it out for you.” Perhaps this is the business. The 5 year warranty is a farce. The product is to deteriorate in 2 years and they wait ready for the customers to come toddling over for the 47.5% deal of the century. I responded asking Cheeseman if the supplier and builder know these vinyl cupboards should NOT be installed in the kitchen where kettles and toasters are used. My fear now is when will my bathroom doors unwrap from the bath and shower steam. What’s to be done? I’m tempted to go around the neighbourhood and ask if the other home buyers are also experiencing The Great Unwrap. If anyone has advise, please pass it on to us. I'm at z97@hotmail.com.

Thank you Anna for your review. We have changed our policy and are covering heat damage within our 5 year warranty. I have contacted your kitchen supplier to order the remakes for you.
Their are advantages and disadvantages for all products sold. With thermofoil doors you have to watch out for heat exceeding 200 degrees but if you follow a couple of things. Pulling out toasters and kettles beyond cabinets, opening doors and drawers when you self clean your oven as it can produce temperatures of 900 degrees and use your hood fan when cooking on the stove you should have no more problems. The advantages of thermofoil doors is that they are easily cleanable , will retain color (doors will match even after 2 to 3 years if you replace one , are cost effective and durable if your have kids and pets. We do now manufacture painted doors on MDF and wood doors also to complete a wider range of products for the kitchen industry.
