My driveway suffered with several cracks that a previous driveway repair company did not fill properly, PLUS a very slipper surface that was left by the previous company. Daron not only fixed the cracks and resprayed the surface to make it safe once more, he also came back to tend to a couple of cracks that had opened up again. He ALSO solved an issue of water getting into my garage during spring thaws AND solved a MAJOR dent in my driveway. Will be calling Daron for help keeping my driveway in good repair for as long as he remains in business. Dependable, reliable, quality workmanship and more!

Shana had soooo many awesome ideas for my small kitchen, and now my small kitchen looks SO much larger... seriously! Received a call telling me there is nothing they can do to fix this. The surface is so shiny and slippery that I may forced to repave my entire driveway as NOTHING will stick to it with this shiny layer on it. Even the cracks they poured a liquid tar into )promising me this is the new crack repair method) appear to have never been touched. Paid $1,600 for this mess! ----------------------- UPDATE: I've had to lower my recommendation due to a VERY slippery surface on my driveway. Every snowfall, I have had to where studs on my winter boots in order to shovel snow and not slip and fall while doing this. Have even had visitors who walked to my side door complain about how slippery my driveway is once the outside temperatures drop below zero. Have contacted the company and they've promised to fix this issue... but... it has to wait until warmer weather. ----------- what I stated BEFORE winter weather arrived ----------- Actually had this company hired through another person who found them, and I have to admit, this company does exactly what they say they will do. Crackers were filled as promised, and the sealer was sprayed on with absolute perfection. I was impressed that not one area was missed AND no over spray anywhere! They're top notch in my books and will be the FIRST company I call once my driveway needs attention again. Thank YOU Driveway Guys! Your Very Happy Customer :-)

End of April 2015, I went to go out and pick up a parcel I had ordered from a local business. However, my garage door refused to open letting me retrieve my car. After checking EVERYTHING I could, I telephoned the local business to re-schedule my pickup and then tried desperately to find an electrician. A neighbour recommended Matt Goddard and I am ever soooo thankful that Matt was not only able to come to my rescue, fix the issue using quality parts, insisting on doing the job right ... but also not charging me an arm and a leg! Would I recommend Matt @ Ripley Electric? YOU BET I DO!

In 2013, cleaning eaves trough had become far to difficult so I researched a means of covering the gutters and discovered that Aluex brand were touted as being THE best by many customers. In searching for a local installer, Berkhof's Roofing was mentioned. When I checked with HomeStars.com for this company's rating ... I hired them WITHOUT question. With the ice storm of Dec 2013, by the spring I had discovered holes in my garage roof from falling branches. Again, I called Berkhof's Roofing for help. They found 3 sizeable holes and patched them MATCHING the shingles PERFECTLY ... all for only $282.50 ... at a time when other businesses were taking advantage of homeowner's in immediate need of help patching their roofs. Needless to say, my neighbours (2 now!) hired this company for their roofing needs.

A friend tried installing my new dishwasher for me in order to save me the cost of a plumber. I did not feel confident enough to run the dishwasher, and called another friend who recommended Reynolds Plumbing Plus Ltd. Kevin was able to fix the improperly installed dishwasher and I have had him back since for other plumbing issues. Kevin is very knowledgeable and courteous. His prices are reasonable too! Call him before having a friend install your dishwasher... you'll be glad you did.

In 2011, I needed new matching interior shutters in my kitchen for the window over my sink, and one patio door still needed a window covering. The actual type of covering for the patio door eluded me but Keith at Quality Window Coverings came to my rescue with a great suggestion that works best, and I have received many compliments on “my” choice of window covering. By hiring Keith at Quality Window Coverings he also was able to save me lots of money by altering my living room shutters (my YouTube explanation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBhln59E3Sw) that had been purchased years before from another vendor. These shutters had never allowed me to open (and thus clean properly) my living room windows.

Back in 2006, I hired Bob at Eddy’s Home Improvement Centre to replace all my main level windows and install two brand new patio doors. All windows and doors were professionally installed and still look great seven years later. I could not be happier. Whenever I have called with issues, though truly minor, the staff at Eddy’s have treated me with the utmost respect and addressed my problem promptly. Obviously, no issue is too small for Eddy’s when it comes to customer service. In a day and age where customer service seems to be a dying quality in many local businesses, Eddy’s Home Improvement Centre truly continues to come through for me.

Though Spectacular Water Systems did NOT install my original water system, they were quick to come to my rescue when my system suffered a failure. Since then, I have had them back for regular and emergency maintenance. Spectacular Water Systems are VERY RELIABLE. They're here when I need them most!

In 2007, Bob Woropay and Jason Dasti of Paradise Home Landscaping fixed all the building code violations, eye-sores, and deficiencies in landscaping of my back yard that Ward Landscaping caused in 2006 (see my review regarding Ward Landscaping), PLUS they rebuilt three block walls at the front of my home, closing major gaps from landscaping work that had been done previously by Ward Landscaping (in 2001 and 2003). Those gaps have NEVER reappeared. Paradise Home Landscaping are now my landscapers by CHOICE. They stand for quality workmanship at reasonable prices . . . and they stand behind their work!

Designing is the only plus I can give this company. Quality workmanship is not in the completed work. In 2006, I relied solely on this contractor as a professional to ensure that the construction of the deck was undertaken in a professional manner and met all of the requirements of the applicable codes and standards. Brian Ward of Ward Landscaping failed to complete the construction of the deck and its related systems in accordance with code compliance and contractual obligations, as such I retained the services of legal counsel to assist in resolving the matter; subsequently BSC was retained to do a review of the site, and they provided a written report of its findings. All paperwork has been retained as proof of my statement here. There are several more photos than the 5 included here.
