When I first bought my house the Enpure Home company misrepresented themselves and said they were from the official gas company for my house. A hot water tank technician said he had to swap out my water heater tank and showed up unannounced soon after I moved into my new home. I found out soon after that these guys were not from the gas company, but now I was supposedly stuck in a 10 year contract with them since they had already swapped out my water tank for no apparent reason. It has been almost 9 and a half years with them and now my water tank broke down. An Enpure Home repair man came and said that I needed to get a new hot water tank, but I'd have to sign another 10 year contract. I said I'd rather just not get another tank installed and close my contract a few months early, but he said I would have to pay out my contract which would be hundreds of dollars to essentially buy a broken tank and that would be pointless to do. He also said he could install an old/used hot water tank, but he said it's not advised since those tanks can break again easily and cause more issues. I don't want a flooded basement so I said I'd rather just cancel my contract early and I would like to speak to a manager, but nobody seems to ever be available and my calls just go to voice mail and nobody bothers to call me back. I'm stuck with no hot water now and I have two young kids with me with no resolution in sight.
