I have used RAS several times over the years for small, local moves. The most recent move was easy to schedule, the estimate was provided quickly, and response to online forms and questions was by phone and prompt. My team this time was John who coordinated the move, Oriki and Tristan who handled the move with care. I appreciated punctuality, efficiency, courtesy, reliability, and respecting the quoted cost (no surprises). I will continue to use this company in future and recommend to others.

Brimnes daybed assembled. This is the 2nd time I have used this service; John was the assembler both times. I couldn't be more pleased at the ease of booking, flexible appointment times, but especially the quality of the work done. John was polite, respectful of my home, worked quickly and efficiently. He neatly packed up all packaging and garbage ready for you to dispose of with ease. Shopping at Ikea has always been a mixed blessing; great design followed by a horror show called assembly. I now happily shop at Ikea without the stress of assembly. I can't recommend this company enough. Will definitely hire them again.

I discovered an electrical issue with a few outlets and a light fixture in the basement. Within 24 hours of sending an email I had a response and appointment booked. Pleasantly surprised when Alex arrived days ahead of the scheduled appointment in order to check on the problem because he was in the neighbourhood. That was really appreciated. Within a few minutes, Alex had diagnosed the problem (faulty breaker), and alleviated my worries that it might have been a more serious problem. This is the third time that I have hired Mapleleaf and I can still say that Alex is a very skilled professional with a talent for quickly diagnosing and fixing problems. I highly recommend this company for any projects and will continue to call them when my home needs electrical work.

I was fortunate enough to have Alex and his crew respond very quickly for the removal of some knob and tube that was unexpectedly discovered during a minor renovation. Everything was handled promptly; response to my initial phone call, inspection of my home, providing a written estimate/quote, booking dates for the job, booking the inspector (for which Alex was present), providing the written certificate of inspection. The quote provided was the final price billed, no surprises, and was very fair/reasonable. The work was done in exactly the amount of time specified. Alex is a skilled problem solver. He is also very careful to minimize the number of holes in walls. He and his crew are genuinely nice people who demonstrated respect and care for both my home and me. They were a great resource of information too. They cleaned up extremely well at the end of each day (I’ve never seen any trades clean so thoroughly!) Alex is patient and explained everything clearly (even when it was necessary to do so more than once). After being very worried about discovering K&T in my home, it was a huge relief to have Alex make the necessary repairs. If you’re looking for a skilled, honest, and knowledgeable electrician, you must contact Mapleleaf. I can’t recommend this company enough. The Homestars ratings are well deserved.

Encore Windows is the best. I obtained 4 quotes, all Homestars members, 3 of which were competitive with respect to punctuality for home visits, quality of quotes, products offered and price. What set Encore apart was their no nonsense, no pressure and no gimmicks sales approach. Diane was my contact for sales. She was patient and promptly answered many, many, questions until I could decide what I wanted. She was even gracious enough to meet me last minute and unexpectedly in the showroom one Saturday morning (even though the night before I had cancelled our appointment anticipating that a family emergency would keep me away). The installation went very well albeit it took a little longer than anticipated partly due to very frigid weather but this didn't prevent the guys from working weather well below zero. Mike and Patrick worked long hours, even on Christmas Eve, and at the end of each day, took time and care to clean up. They were very respectful of my property as well as any concerns that I brought to their attention. I have a newfound appreciation for how much work and skill is involved in replacing windows and especially exterior doors in a house. The new front door is so beautiful that numerous neighbours have approached me and offered compliments. And I know that after-sales service will be worry free because while my installation was underway, Mike was approached by a neighbour to adjust a storm door that Encore had installed a while back (and he took the time to go and deal with it). Nice to see a company take pride in all aspects of their businsess.
