I found Angel Movers on HomeStars and they were one of four movers I contacted. Angel Movers was exceptional from my first call to them. The first person I encountered was Anna, who is beyond amazing. She patiently answered all of our questions. Anna tried her best to kept my wife & I calm during the entire process. I explained we where moving from Markham to Oakville and downsizing to a smaller home. Anna arranged for the owner, Johan, to come and see our Markham home and provide advice. Johan was affable and answered all of our questions. We had a concern about two large sofas that we wanted to go into our basement in Oakville. Johan said he was going to be in Oakville that afternoon and offered to go to our new home to see if he thought it was possible. Anna called later that afternoon to say it should be no problem. Along the way we decided to divide our move into two parts as we already had possession of our new home. This made the move a lot easier, especially as we were downsizing. Best decision ever! The teams on both moves were incredible. The guys all worked really well together. I have no clue how they lifted some of the heaver items and manoeuvred them in and out of tight spaces and up and down stairs. Every piece of furniture was wrapped in thick blankets, taped and loaded into the truck with extreme care. Many pieces of furniture including a treadmill had to be disassembled to go into the truck. When I saw the numerous pieces of the treadmill on the basement floor I thought it was toast' but it has made a full recovery very quickly once at our new house! Both unloadings in Oakville went well (even the 2nd one which was done in the rain) and the guys put the furniture and boxes/bins exactly where we wanted them and reassembled as necessary. There were a few items from the first move to be relocated and the guys from the second move did that willingly. Zero damage to anything - Yeah!!! I have no hesitation in giving Angel Movers my highest possible recommendation.

Our experience with The Home Improvement People (HIP) was exceptional! We found HIP on Home Stars. We contacted three contractors, met with two and selected The Home Improvement People. Our project started off small. To finish approximately 50% of the basement and replace the vanity in the master ensuite. Philip did the initial quote and he was easy to deal with and was very patient with us - making changes, answering all of our questions, etc. We told Philip that we would need lots of handholding throughout the project and we did! When Philip first introduced us to our project manager, Elia, we knew he was someone who we could work with. When Elia told us what day the project would start we asked him if that date was firm? He responded Its written in the book of Elia & it was! On the day the project began we were introduced to various trades: The team doing the basement, team doing the master ensuite, painters, plumbers and electricians. From there on the project grew & grew. Shortly into the project we decided to redo the entire master ensuite including heating the floors. Then we decided to completely redo the powder room and replace the tile in the entrance and laundry room. Just as we were seeing the light at the end of the tunnel we came to the realization that if we did not upgrade the kitchen before we moved into the house it would never get done! Elia thought we were nuts and explained it would impact our anticipated move-in date. When we told him we could be flexible he agreed to do it and within a few days the kitchen was demolished. The entire HIP team has been incredible to work with: Elia was great throughout the project. He was always available by text, email & phone and responded quickly, Gerhard backed up Elia and was also great to work with, Charlotte with her assistance on design, John & Kevin working their magic in the basement with the drywall, painting and flooring, Daniel & Victor everywhere with the project - demolition, laying tile, installing bathroom fixtures, etc. Daniel is a wealth of information and provided great advice during the project. The painter Jordan and his assistant David did great work. It looks great and we are very happy. I dont want to forget Haydee in the office who kept us updated on billing & payments. Many thanks to everyone involved - we are extremely happy clients and would use The Home Improvement People again and also recommend HIP without any reservations!

Mark was great. He kept in touch prior to the time that had been arranged to ensure that there were no changes. He arrived when he said he would. Mark explained the process to us and then got to work. Our place had just undergone renovations and the ducts needed a thorough cleaning. We will definitely use Mark again. Keep up the great work!

I had contacted Wood Grain as I needed pruning done on a Paper Birch at the front of our home. Daron responded quickly and he and Rob came at the appointed time. They were very professional and did the required work. All of the clippings were removed from the ground. They also made useful recommendations about other work we may need done in the future. My wife and I would not hesitate to use them again.

Patterned Concrete recently competed a 635 sq foot patio in our backyard and we are very pleased. Soni was very professional and helped guide us through the project. The different teams that handled the various aspects of the project, from tearing down the old deck, preparing the site, pouring the concrete, stamping, cutting & sealing, were extremely professional. The owner, Joe, made a number of visits to our home including one to advise on the colour to best match our house. Many members of their team have been with Patterned Concrete for 20+ years which speaks very highly of the company and their level of expertise. We highly recommend them!
