My home inspection performed by Rick was outstanding! Rick arrived on time and even though the inspection was for a condo and the outside of the building is not my responsibility, we still went outside and Rick checked out the roof, stucco, windows, deck, etc and showed me the gas shutoff for my unit. While going through the inside, Rick would tell me what he was checking for, what he hoped to find and what he did find, as well Rick pointed out easy fixes that we can do as homeowners to maintain our home. The inspection report was very thorough and included everything that we had talked about, it included colour pictures and I received it that evening. I found Rick's fee to be very reasonable for the service he provided. Overall I was very happy with the home inspection performed by Rick and learned a lot in the process. I would definitely recommend Strand Home Inspections to anyone purchasing a home.

As you stated, the exterior, roof, common areas etc of condos are not included as part of my home inspections since they are the responsibility of the condo association. Because of this the cost of my home inspections is lower for condos, and a separate condo document review by others is money well spent. It was great that you took the time to attend the inspection, even on a cold rainy day!
