Highly unprofessional although satisfied with the job that was done. The contract was brief sent one day earlier by email. All photographs of work site were sent well in advance. The cost of the job doubled when the workers came the next day to do the job stating that the area was more than expected. Debris was left on the road with pile on's for me to clear. John refused to return calls and the secretary gave all sorts of excuses stating his hearing is bad. A new invoice for $500 was sent for debris removal, none of this was mentioned earlier. Normally all contractors remove the debris and clear the site when a job is done, not with this set up. I wish I could post the pictures here for all to see.

Approximate cost of services:
$1,000.00

Company Response

Lawrence,

First and foremost I feel it is important to advise you that it is extremely ignorant and disrespectful to use statements like "He had all kinds of excuses like hearing loss". I have run my company since the day it was started and recently I took sick and yes I became deaf. That is why I hired Stacey. Believe me, doing that was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do.

Now, about your job, I wish I could post your home address because you are not being truthful here in your review. The photos you sent were extremely misleading. They represented work that would be half of what was actually needed. We run into this often with potential clients using camera tricks such as taking the photo on an angle or pointing it in a different direction so the work area seems smaller or we don't see all of the damage to the property that needs to be fixed. This is what you did....

The price we gave you was an "estimate" based on what we seen from your photos but we explained that when we get there we will provide a firm estimate because we will see it.

There was so much haggling back and forth trying to negotiate prices you had my staff wanting to quite if I didn't get them out of there.

As for the debris removal. Yes we told you we would charge you to remove it but that is no different than a paving company bringing a bin in to remove old asphalt. Do you think you don't pay for that? Of course there is a charge and whats worse is you haggled with our staff so much on money we couldn't throw in "freebies" for you.

In closing, you should learn to treat your contractors with respect and stop haggling prices. It is always you that loses in the end when you keep trying to beat every last dime out of a contractor. You force them to be in a position where they can't afford to do anymore for you. Just like you did....
