I had an issue with my bathroom sink leaking and as I often do, checked Homestars to try and find a well reviewed plumber to assist me. I saw that Jon had many good reviews so I called him up and he agreed to come take a look later that day. Jon was punctual and told us that it would either be a $150 job or $300, depending on how it looks when he came back. He came back and attempted to fix the problem, but the next day I noticed it was still leaking quite a bit. I Called him up and he agreed to come back in few days later to take a look again. This time he brought his apprentice and they needed to cut into our wall to get at the problemed area. Unfortunately they didn't turn off the water main and ended up cutting into the water line, partially flooding my basement below. Luckily I was home at the time and was able to shut off the water and get towels/buckets down so it wouldn't ruin the new flooring and subfloor we had installed just a few weeks before. We turned off the water limiting the damage and had to cut some drywall out of our ceiling to drain the excess water now stuck between floors. Jon told me it should dry out fine on it's own and that he was going on vacation the next day, but his apprentice would be back the following week to fix the drywall. He also said he wouldn't charge me for the work that day... I emphasised that I needed this repaired asap as we had people moving shortly after. At this point I wasn't angry or dissapointed as these things happen, but I never did hear back from his apprentice the following week or the week after. I ended up leaving a voicemail with Jon, which he has choose not to respond to. So I definitely would not recommend this company. I ended up just having to bite the bullet and fix the damages myself and be thankful that no additional damage was caused.

My wife and I are recent first time home owners and are going through all the issues you would expect when purchasing an older house. After initial inspection it was determined that our electrical panel would need to be upgraded from it's current 60amp feed to a 125amp feed in order to be insured. After reading through various Homestar reviews we decided to go with Neils services at Nuphase Electric and we couldn't be happier with our choice. Neil is prompt, upfront with what needs to be done and is forthcoming with any information you want or need to know. The work was done in a efficient and timely matter and the results were great. I would definitely recommend Neil and Nuphase Electric to anybody that is looking to have any work done, be it a large or small job. We will and have used Nuphase Electric again with no plans on changing providers.
