Mark installed a new breaker panel for me about 3 years ago and did a nice job. Recently I had a partial electrical outage in the house and so I called Mark (he left his card on the panel). It was fairly late in the evening, and I left a message on his voice mail. He called back within minutes and walked me through some trouble shooting steps. He determined that it was likely a problem outside the house and gave me the Hydro number. Sure enough one of the under ground load lines had burnt out and hydro came to fix it a few days later. Thanks Mark, you not only did a good install, but gave great (no cost) customer service years later!

Provided a good price for decent windows. Reasonably well installed by an efficient crew. Did a nice job of a door cutout from garage into house. Had a bit of trouble getting Energy Star Certifications (they just weren't very aware of energy audit requirements) but all worked out.

We bought black glass mosaic tiles for a kitchen back splash. It wasn't until they were installed and grouted with charcol grout that we noticed small white lines at the edges. When we looked really closely at the spare tiles we had left over we could see that the backing on several tiles of every 12 x 12 sheet had backing that did not reach right to the edge of the tile. Glass tiles are clear, and the colour comes from the backing, so if the backing is even a few millimeters away from the edge, the thinset or mastic will show through. When I called Tile Mart to see what they could do for me, the manager admitted that some of the tiles he looked at in the store were flawed, but it was no big deal and I was being fussy! When I asked to talk to the owner, he hung up on me. They are selling seconds as new product with no warning. The pictures provided require a carefull look to see the flaws, but once you train your eye -- you will see just how bad they are. An $1100 tile job has turned into a disaster, thanks to Tile Mart. Anyone else buy glass tiles from this outfit? We can split the cost of a lawyer...

My wife and I went to this company because we needed a custom kitchen, which JF Kitchens provides. Their motto is basically "any colour, any size". Unfortunately we experienced a long list of problems -- the main problem stemmed from the fact that they did not finish all the cabinets before delivery, and so when they stained the other pieces at a later time, they did not mix the stain the same and so we ended up with mismatched cabinets and trim. A very Mickey Mouse mistake. Many times they said they would come back to fix this problem and others, but rarely managed to show up as promised. We knew the day the cabinets were delivered that there were going to be problems. We could see that there were missing pieces and that the drawer frames were not made of solid Maple as ordered (as indicated on the invoice) -- they were made out of plywood. A bad experience so far, I will update when (if) our kitchen finally gets done. Update: They finally delivered our drawers, they are not a "perfect" match but are close. They said they would comeback to fix the mismatched colour of some crown molding, but have never returned. We have given up calling, we can live with the remaining imperfections. The quality of the cabinets is decent for the price (solid maple), although the self closing drawer hardware is marginal (friends have craftmade self close cabinets -- they are waaaay better). The main carpenter was decent enough, but seemed run ragged, which we believe is why things took so long. If you need a custom, solid wood kitchen on a tight budget you could take a chance -- but expect some aggrivation.
