Contacted North Star Pest Control based on strong recommendations through HomeStars and positive reviews. Having a red squirrel in the attic, living right above our bedroom for months, we were desperate for a solution as our dog (and us) were constantly awoken throughout the night. I've been in the attic & on the roof a dozen times to confirm that there was an issue, but couldn't locate the entry point nor was I successful in trapping ($40 down from Amazon). Shakeel connect within a few hours to schedule a home visit. He was able to pinpoint the entry spot within minutes and proposed a humane door solution that would allow the squirrel(s) to exit buy not re-enter. Turns out there was an entire family up there! All squirrels are out and Shakeel made another appointment to remove the door and provide a permanent barrier. The roof was thoroughly checked over for other possible points of entry and deemed secure. Understanding that these red squirrels are tenacious, North Star's 3 year warranty was key as it should outlive these little guys. Question is - why did I wait so long to reach out to a professional?

Craftsmanship, courteous and prompt: simple words to describe how please we were with work completed by Kostas and his crew. The process was clearly described understood exactly what was involved in the project. The only contractor to provide an on site visit & quotation - this makes a big difference in confidence. Stone & brick was removed and the corner and front facia of our cold cellar/porch rebuild. A skim coat and parge then applied as a finishing layer. The project took place over 2 days. All refuse was removed (as well as additional stone/brick not related to the project - bonus!). Kostas/Zachos was able to consult on another masonry/concrete project we have and we'll certainly be contacting him when we're ready!

We were impressed with NewRidge from the start with the promptness & quality of their initial quote. Of the 4 vendors we requested quotes from, NewRidge was only company to provide an in-house consultation which provided confidence that they were interested in supporting our project. Quotes were detailed and updated for clarity. Pricing was competitive - mid range. Communication was clear and provided via text and video message. The project itself for 3 upstairs bedrooms took 3 days as advised, and all steps clearly communicated. It's a disruptive project to clear out your home to make way for the work, but it's completely worth it. Sebastian & crew were on time, took great care in minimizing the amount of dust and provided a tidy space when complete. The end results are perfect and we would have never imagined our 60 year old floors to have a second life. Happy to report that after 6 months of the work being complete, the entire job has held up beautifully.

Saif and his team provided a job well done! Project was complete our project despite the uncooperative November weather. Overall construction is A1 and the 2 gates built are excellent. Work was complete on time and true to the quote provided. The site was tidied up and left in good condition. Communication was also excellent with updates and questions answered promptly.

Paulo was attentive and visited our home twice before we hired him. Review the project scope and to bring by samples of materials. Works was completed promptly and all hands on deck before a long weekend (Friday-Sunday - May 2/4). 3 to 4 layers needed to be removed and from dumpster to vents, tv antenna removal and final clean up. Polite and courteous crew. I have no doubt we hired the right crew - the house looks much much better and after 4 months and a few hard storms, I can report the work is solid and leak free!

We hired Weedman based on reputation and performance in our neighborhood. Staff visiting our home have been friendly and quick about their work. I appreciate the calls the day before a treatment so that I can keep my pets inside the day off - the reminders are helpful. Weeds have been taken care of and my lawn looks considerably better. Weedman does call (from a call centre) far too often with 'advisements' for additional treatments (grubs, added fertilizer, aeration, etc) that are considerable more money than the entire year's worth of service (a call recently was more than $450 of products). Good product & protocol, however the constant pressure from their callcentres for products I do not want nor need means I can't recommend to a friend. I will look for an alternate next year that hopefully doesn't continually pester for additionally charges (2-4 times per month).
