Len was a pleasure to deal with right from the start. Like many families during the COVID-19 lockdown we became bored and decided to de-clutter our house, garden and garage. We had never rented a dumpster before and when I called Len I had no idea what size we should consider. Len was very helpful and offered me a deal not even advertised on the website. Judging from the other companies I called, Len gave me a very good price. The dumpster arrived on schedule. I have to be honest, it was a bright green, good looking almost upscale dumpster so we were actually quite happy to have it in our driveway. The man unloading the dumpster was pleasant and took care not to scratch our driveway. We chose to have the dumpster for 5 days but we could have had it for longer. The dumpster was picked up on schedule and there were no extra charges or hidden fees. All and all it was a very pleasant experience and we would not hesitate to do it again. We had previously paid men with pick up trucks to take debris to the city dump but by the time we paid them for their time driving to and from the dump and waiting for the truck contents to be processed at the dump, renting the dumpster was a much better deal.

I am a senior with a large weedy lawn. I had done some research prior to booking Hometurf and believe that they offer competitive pricing, in fact they offer lower pricing than some of the other companies. My situation is rather unique. I cannot mow all of the grass and weeds on my property in one day. I have to do a little garden work every day. I have decided to take on the weeds myself. I have been hand pulling weeds every day, applying organic weed killer which I make myself and plan to utilize soil solarization which I will also do myself. I asked Hometurf to cancel my contract so I could take on the weeds myself and they agreed. As I said my situation is somewhat unique. For the average family and property a lawn service is probably a good thing. Hometurf provides a similar level of service to the other companies I have worked with for a competitive price. If I move to another property I may consider hiring Hometurf again but for now I am taking things into my own hands and having fun with it.

Our asphalt driveway looked worn 25 years ago when we first bought the house. To make matters worse I thought our property would look larger if I reduced the 1.5 - 2 car wide driveway to just 1 car width by covering part of the driveway with soil, woodchips , lawn and a few bricks. My neighbour, a realtor who has managed and renovated properties for profit for years recommended Tim pronouncing his prices and work excellent. My neighbour knows her stuff so I feel confident relying on her expertise and experience when it comes to selecting tradesmen and getting quality work at a good price. My neighbour and I have identical houses in different colours. My neighbour has bought beautiful high end accessories and finishes for her entire house, while I am focussing on keeping to my budget . My neighbour chose a carriage type deluxe garage door while I chose a plainer more, budget friendly door. Both doors on both properties look terrific! And after more than a year, my neighbour says that her garage door still works perfectly. My garage was filled to the brim with junk and it took me awhile to tidy it up sufficiently for Tim to be able to get inside to install the door. Tim respected my challenges with tidying up as well as my budget and even hauled away a huge plank of old wood from the garage for me for free. I chose to forego the motorized door opener and Tim has offered to install it for me in the future if I ever change my mind. I am happy with my garage door and enjoyed working with Tim.

We have a 1964 bungalow with 100 amp service and a fuse box which was perfectly adequate for our needs until we suddenly loss power in several outlets. Our efforts at replacing the fuses in the fuse box were futile. We called Green Isle Electric and Declan came out to our house in a matter of hours to look at the problem. True to his word, Declan e-mailed me a quote later that evening. Declan suggested that it would be good business practice for me to get at least quotes from other electricians so I could determine the best company for the job. I would have done that but dealing with the other electricians was frustrating. The other electricians did not return my calls for days and kept promising to come out to the house but never showed up. I read the favourable reviews about Declan and decided to go ahead and hire him. Declan and his crew were prompt, polite, fast and efficient. Above all Declan is very honest, respected our budget and did not try to upsell us to additional things we did not need. We won't hesitate to call Green Isle Electric again. It was a very positive experience and restores our faith that there are good, honest tradespeople out there. You just have to do your research to find them.
