We purchased several light fixtures for our home reno from Union Lighting. Their showroom is very large and great for selection. Prices are slightly on the higher end but we went with them as we could get everything in one place. Service was good and they gave us a slight discount for the big order.

We went to the store a couple times prior to purchasing to see the selection and prices. Peter helped us out and was great and very helpful to us in making our selection. We picked out an engineered hardwood and he was able to get us a good price that nowhere else could match. Closer to delivery date a rep called us saying that they couldn't get the 3 1/2 plank we paid for so they upgraded us to the 4 1/2" at the same cost! I also had to call back to change the number of boxes and they were very helpful with that over the phone.

Glad we were able to salvage the situation to your satisfaction. Sometimes a vendor will reassure us of stock availability and drop a bomb shell the very next day when it comes time to deliver the inventory.

Hope to see you in the near future!

We purchased three vanities along with a couple medicine cabinets and mirrors from Toronto Vanity. After visiting a few places, Toronto Vanity had the best selection and style for the price. All vanities were installed by our contractor and all so far have held up well (albeit after only 5 months of use). Customer service was good at the store however some items were on backorder and delayed on delivery. I had to go back and pick up the one cabinet on back order as they would not deliver for free a second time.

Dear Shawn and Amy,

Carol and Richard were both good to work with. Zion by far had the best price for the quartz ceasarstone countertop for our kitchen. Carol even suggested small island measurement adjustments in order to only use one slab and thus saving us a few hundred dollars. Installation was also done well and on time, however we were charged an extra $100 for a piece of plywood that was installed which was not included in the original quote and we were only notified after the fact. Despite that though going with Zion gave us amazing value for their quality and price.

We were referred to Bax after looking at a few other companies and they were the best in terms of price and product! We worked with Chris throughout our design process and he was great. He had great advice and tips while putting together our kitchen and made suggestions to maximize space as well as functionality. Other places we visited that were double the cost didn't provide the suggestions or help Chris did. The work and construction was done quickly which was key for us as we were under tight timelines for our reno. Would definitely suggest Bax for your cabinetry!

We hired HomeCore to do 3 inspections on properties we bid on. Rob was the one that did each inspection. In terms of knowledge and competency, Rob is great. His inspections are thorough and he identifies many things to be noted and followed up on. For one home we considered bidding on, Rob identified a pipe that terminated in the basement which he suspected led to an old oil tank buried in the backyard that could have been previously used for an oil burning furnace. A buried oil tank would have been an expensive procedure to re-mediate if so and we opted out of bidding, possibly saving us thousands of dollars and lots of headaches. The one criticism against HomeCore was some of the follow up after we successfully purchased a home. We asked some questions regarding the age and other topics and the response from the office was that we "need to take some time to read your report". I double checked the report and the information we were asking was not there. Rob eventually circled back and answered all my questions very well but the customer service from the office could be a bit less snippy.

Hi guys. I’m thrilled that you were happy with my inspections for you. I’m even happier that you didn’t buy the second house with the probable buried oil tank (I was very upset to learn that the house sold over asking on the offer date to unsuspecting buyers after the vendor and listing agent failed to acknowledge/disclose this very serious problem). And thank you for letting us know your concerns regarding the response from Zoe in our office to your follow-up questions. Unfortunately, it’s impossible for Zoe to provide any date information to clients unless it’s specifically noted in my report. Since many clients don’t actually read the report, Zoe always encourages them to spend some time with it when they call since it’s the best way for them to better understand their new house. She may also not have access to the report when your call comes in and because it’s usually difficult to reach me directly (I always return calls and emails), reviewing your report is frequently the fastest way to get the information you need. That said, there are many items and upgrades that are not possible to date visually and therefore won’t be in the report. If possible, I provide a best estimate when I’m next available. Ultimately, that’s what we were able to do in your case. We will, however, try to be more careful in future so clients can better understand the limitations of providing this kind of follow-up information – especially for Zoe, our office manager.

We hired Jay to do a complete renovation of our 2 storey home. The work included renovating bedrooms, washrooms, kitchen, basement, installing hardwood, spray foam and taking out a load bearing wall. The work was swiftly completed in less then 2 months time and AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. Jay's crew worked really hard and Jay not only executed the project to our demands, he gave us great advice along the way. We made changes during the course of the project (for example, changing the location of the laundry sink) and he made those changes with no hesitation after the work was already completed. When small issues came up after the project was completed Jay responded right away and came to our house to fix the issues. Even today (2 months after final payment) Jay still responds to any of our issues and comes to fix quickly! Jay is extremely hard working. We would recommend Jay.
