A Good Gut feeling lead me to Steve at Maple Leaf Garage Doors. The initial phone conversation detailing our garage door issues and his recommendations to correct them -was very positive. The manner in which he spoke, I really got a good sense on how knowledgeable he was. Didn't get any pressure tactics or up-sells. So I decided to give him the opportunity to do the work. Roughly called at 11:30am and he was able to come to my home at approx. 1:00pm the same day. AMAZING! In short, Steve installed a new garage door opener and additionally repaired and reinforced the bottom panel of our single garage door at no cost. This took him approx. just over an hour or so. Talk about efficient. Steve is a polite -caring individual, honest, experienced and dedicated professional. I'm so glad to have made that call. Not wasting time again with others. Thanks to Rafi and his crew, Hameed and Hameed -we got heat! Called Rafi cause our furnace stopped working. He came over quickly to see what the issue was. The inducer motor burnt-out. Later, that same day, he arrived as promised to install the new replacement motor. But a new problem surfaced, the circuit board wasn't sending power to the motor. So it also would have needed to be replaced. To make a long story short, in the long run, we both agreed It would make more sense to invest and replace the furnace. I've used AFG a number of times before and have gotten to know Rafi fairly well. I'm very pleased with this family business. I like it that they answer the calls directly, thus eliminating any miss communication -ie: via secretaries. They have an arrival window time of two hours vs four hours -a great feature to have. And would like to add that the AFG technicians are tech savvy, professional and very polite. Thank you again for your service. Season greetings and Happy holidays!

I was searching online for a reliable and service-friendly HVAC company to service our furnace for an annual tune-up. Came across AFG Heating & Cooling Services @Homestars. With our previous HVAC company, we had good relations with them, but they seemed to disappear, no where to be found, phone lines down etc. So I guess (and know now) they're time was up. Called AFG to help out, Rafi answered the phone and assured me I called the right people and won't be disappointed. A family owned and operated business. Great, let's do it. Rafi came down as promised ready to get to work, well mannered and politely asked if he should remove his shoes. That's a plus, it shows me he respects your home. Next, he explained what he was doing in detail and welcomed me to stay while he worked. My head spinned, he really knows his stuff. As he finished, we had espresso (fyi: he drinks tea) and cake together, he seemed to enjoy it while posting photos of this to Snap Chat. Funny. Anyhow, I was taken on how he really came through, a professional at his trade and just an honest family man. Looks like I can rely on AFG Heating for future services as they arise. Will be using them for our spring AC tune-up for sure, very pleased. Thanks Rafi, thanks AFG.

Met Mike at the showroom. Found him to be pleasant and witty -quick to answer any questions or concerns. He gave me plenty of time to browse. So I did choose a sample (luxury vinyl flooring) to take home and had Mike quickly give me a ball park quote (based on my numbers). Also asked if he could come down to my place to accurately measure and see if additional pre-prep work would be needed. For a small fee, we agreed. Two days later, he arrived at my home promptly on time as he indicated. Like a gentleman, he took his shoes off, nice to see that. Respectful and quick to get to work. He was in and out like a flash. I offered him an espresso, he kindly declined -had other calls to attend. FYI: if you decide to contract Alliance Floor Source for the work, the fee would be subtracted from your total cost. A few days later, I met Mike again at the showroom. I decided on another product and he said great no problem. We finalized details, payments and installation. Mike sent me Efron to install the luxury vinyl flooring, what a nice guy. Polite, respectful and clean. Very happy with his work. Some spots are soft or dip, but it's no big deal since I addressed the floor being warped to Mike. You really can't do much. Oh, and we fed Efron good, so he would be happy at work. All-in-all would not hesitate to refer Alliance Floor Source. It was a nice and efficent process to go through. Will use them again soon. Thank you Alliance!

From the cheerful office/sales employees to the creative mechanical & service technicians.... they're easy to talk to, detailed & straight forward (no small writing to worry about). Called Northwood Heating & A/C for a quote—new install requiring ductwork, furnace & A/C. Brian came out and explained every detail, what was going to be involved. Thinking to myself, this guy knows his stuff...experienced, personable & patient. We connected two more times before signing a contract. Brian also mentioned manufacturer and government rebates that were available. He hooked us up with a great mechanical designer that also performed our pre-EcoEnergy Audit. Brian went the extra mile to work within my budget, and he really came through, THE PRICE WAS RIGHT! The crew was great, Santos (a workhorse and very meticulous) lead the team, with George, John, Wayne, Art, Chris and Mio. What a nice bunch of guys, respectful in ever manner. If I brought up a question or concern, Santos would address it immediately. Even Brian helped out a number of days to make sure they were on schedule. I noticed Santos and Brian fed-off each other, that’s team work. A JOB WELL DONE! Lastly, I’d like to send a huge thank you to Gary, I only spoke to him a number of times over the phone, but I know he played an integral role on this project. And Josie, your help with rebates and billing...was very much appreciated. If it were an email or telephone call it was addressed quickly. Give them a call, you'll be glad you did... NORTHWOOD ROCKS!
