I ordered 21 windows and 2 patio doors from this company. Spent over $30,000 with expectations that this company's windows would make my home warmer by not allowing as much air to pass through compared to 25 year old existing windows (old windows were wood inside and PVC outside). I was told: - frame and glass of window are both made of fiberglass so they will expand and contract equally not causing seal breaks or warps like wood and PVC...they told me this on a factory tour, saying that glass expands/contracts differently from other materials - fiberglass does not transfer heat or cold like aluminum or steel frames The windows look gorgeous but the quality of the glass and frame are not on par. The fiberglass frame has very poor insulation inside, not even filling the entire cavity so lots of cold air sits in there from the outside...look at my thermal imaging photos. It's extremely cold to the touch from inside. See my photos...these frames are very poor quality and will run below 5 degrees in the winter. I was told that the cold draft was the result of normal air flowing downward from the glass. The glass is also of poor quality.... I ordered double pane windows and even triple pane in some rooms and the heat loss is worse than my 25 year old windows. There are drafts that come in through these windows and into the home, it's a major problem when combined with the very poor frames that they use. I contacted customer service and they replaced one window but still same issue...that's when I saw how cheap the insulation they use is. It's literally an empty frame with some foam insulation and they added a "backer rod" which is a rubberized looking thin roll to help block the draft from outside. I've had to spend more money to get indoor window inserts from a different company to stop these crazy drafts. The patio doors are even worse...I had to install heated floors to stop them from letting frost in (inside the home)! Again see photos for reference, you can't make this stuff up. Worse part is, I contacted Inline again to see if I could pay to upgrade the glass to triple pane and was told by my rep it won't make a difference from what I have. I would normally double check this but I believe him since one room in my home already has triple pane windows and we hear dogs barking through it easily with the same cold draft as the double pane windows... I do not recommend these windows because they allow noise and drafts to pass through very easily.

5000 Square Foot Home Plus renovated with walls taken down. Everything renovated except for windows which are leaky. Duct system was not made with renovations in mind. Constant cold draft throughout the house. I worked with Sam and James at Radiant Sole to find a way to install in floor heating, not only for a large home main floor but also with existing floors already renovated and finished. This meant coming up with a strategic install from underneath in the basement to heat the main floor while keeping the piping clean and maintaining the heat efficiency through the sub floor. This was not an easy job. But working with these two was easy peasy. On time, on budget, responsive to everything and ridiculously professional. I was so shocked with how much better my in floor heating system worked compared to my two! furnaces before that I wanted to wait a while to make sure there were no issues before posting. I waited one entire calendar year. ZERO Issues. PVC Piping had held up perfectly, metal transfer heat plates and insulation holding up well and the boiler they hooked up is amazing. Honestly, heated floors is where it's at. Love drinking my Kauai coffee in the morning in bare feet on warm hardwood floors when it's -15 outside. Sam and James, thank you so much for your tireless work and getting the job tough job done for my home and family. Cheers

I had 2 toilets changed by Sunny and company. Went out to a local supplier to grab a second hose which they needed for one of the toilets. They took about an hour and a half total to replace both toilets. They were clean and simple, thanks for the easy install guys. I've since contacted Dr Rooter for the install of a gas boiler but they only offer water plumbing services for your information.

I was quoted by Mike from GN Durham and the boys from Lindsay did a fantastic job. Although they left a hook nailed into my roof (they said it was code but I plan to have them come back to remove it), everything else was fantastic. Great job from the guys especially the spray foamer.

Enrico and his coworker showed up and completed a fixture fix up in the garage which was previously not installed to code and a fire hazard waiting to happen. They had to cut through brick to get it done and did such a neat job you couldn't tell it wasn't original. They also removed a stray electrical wire that went up to the second floor and just hung out in the open (non live wire). Although a brand new hardwood floor was installed over this wire, Enrico and his team somehow removed the wire nearly without any cuts in the floor. They also changed a door bell for me, fixed a light switch and we're just a pleasure to deal with in general. They were extremely patient when we kept delaying the date of work due to family emergency, and best of all, they showed up free of charge when I thought there was an issue with the work they had done(buzzing from another room turned out to be unrelated but they fixed it anyway). Captain Electric says they're the best, be skeptical, and then surprised and humbled after you see their workmanship. Diane is also great in setting everything up. - Daniel

Vic from Gentle Rain came out to my large home with an existing 6 zone 30+ sprinkler system. My wife and I moved into this house and couldn't get the sprinkler system working properly because it hadn't been used for over a decade. Vic changed half the sprinkler heads, tracked down some leaks underground and showed us how to properly maintain the system. The price was very reasonable for this tune up. I then called him to install a 40+ sprinkler system at a neighbors house and he delivered with a great price and quality workmanship. A year later when the neighbor wanted a water softener installed and needed modifications done to the new sprinkler system, Vic showed up right away to make a bypass so the salt water wouldn't go to the lawn sprinkler system. Thanks Vic!

My home had severe running water coming off the roof valley and leaking onto the porch, even making its way into the basement of the house. A combination of an extremely steep roof as well as undersized builder eavestroughs led us to replace our "K" style eavestroughs and downspouts. We were looking for an imitation copper, half round eavestrough and downspouts since copper price was prohibitive for us at this this. We got quotes from over 10 companies and were going to go with a company based out of Brampton. Most companies do not carry dark brown or gold aluminum (imitation copper) in 6 inch half round. It wasn't until one of the roofers who was quoting me told me "why don't you just call Copperworks for the real thing?" that I considered calling Copperworks. At the end of the day, we found the perfect imitation copper from the owner Lee and his son Jesse. They delivered and installed the product on time and it looks spectacular, we get compliments from our neighbours, especially on the real copperheads. Thanks gents for a wonderful job well done. Couldn't believe you guys did this in -14 degree weather!

I do a lot of research before contracting out a job. To be honest I couldn't see much of a difference on the surface between The Duct Cleaning Specialists and some other companies (many of them located closer to my home than TDCS). The major difference I saw was the enormous amount of great reviews on HomeStars. I decided to go with TDCS and Paul (owner) arrived with a worker and got the job done. Although my ducts were in pretty good shape, they educated me on proper cleaning techniques, helped redistribute the airflow throughout my home and maximized efficiency by closing some seams in my return vent that, unbeknownst to me, were ripped open by previous owner. The other half that impressed me regarding this company was the impeccable service, and although they've reached out to me to report my experience on HomeStars, this review and their service is legit. Job well done boys.
