When I was searching online to find a contractor to build a deck for me, I discovered Vancouver General Contractors. Upon visiting their website, I was greeted with a live chat agent that was able to connect me with someone at VGC. I was contacted pretty quickly and was able to set up a meeting with my project consultant within days. When we progressed to the design process, I was impressed that they offered three different version. The final design was a hybrid of the three designs that suited my tastes better. Being the fact that I have never done any renovations at all, the process was eye opening and has taught me what to expect next time I have a renovation. The project consultant, designer, and project manager were able to keep me updated through the use of Chatter, which I enjoyed being updated frequently. The level of craftsmanship that was completed by the trades was phenomenal. The weather did impact the timeline in completing the project, but the trades worked through the wet conditions to complete the project. Even to the point where TWO premium fiberglass shovels ended up breaking from shoveling out the heavy wet clay. There was an issue with two of the posts being stabilized, but I was able to come up with a solution by installing a bench and a counter to the design. I am glad I went with Vancouver General Contractors and would recommend them to anyone that is looking for professional experts in the renovation industry in Vancouver.
