I hired Jason and his crew to fix my 3rd story chimney that had not been used in about 50 years. He gave me an estimate standing on my driveway using binoculars. The first challenge was the scaffolding which needed to provide access for 6 cars to the back parking area. Easier said than done and they ended up building across the driveway so we could all drive under--clever! Once up there, the masons realized the job was more urgent and complex than they had realized: there was almost no mortar remaining and the whole chimney was 1 big sneeze from collapsing. The team still completed the job in the agreed upon time and for the same price. My kind of company and I am happy to recommend them to anyone looking for quality masonry.

Restoration 1 is a first class company I would recommend to anyone. I had a slow leaking (over a period of some months/years--I just moved in a few months ago and the pipe in question turned out to be around 80yrs old) toilet drain. I will leave to your imagination how disgusting this was!! This was during a long w/end but Robert was there within the hour to assess the damage and Tyler showed up shortly after to start the clean up. Naturally this happened on the top floor not the ground floor! All 3 bathrooms were affected. The first day Tyler did hours of emergency cleaning and I was very satisfied with the results. As a health care professional I was more aware than I wanted to be of the potential health hazard. The work took a week and ended up completely gutting 2 of the 3 bathrooms. Tyler and his colleague were very diligent, spread mats throughout the 2 apartments, cleaned up every day, and left whatever they could functional on a daily basis. They also took great and friendly care around our cats and dog. Meanwhile Robert also takes care of the insurance claims and recommended various contractors to rebuild. I hope you don't need them but if you do, you won't be disappointed. Thanks again PS I will update this review when I find out the cost.

I am very pleased to recommend Ottawa Duct Cleaning as a very professional service. From the first the entire team was helpful and courteous. All my questions were quickly and clearly answered beforehand and when the team came to my home. It turns out my ducts had not been cleaned in 45-50 years! Certainly the crew had their work cut out for them. The crew was on time, and quickly got to work. In addition to the actual work of course, I appreciated the concern they took for the three 4-legged members of the family who were not as happy as I was. They (the crew, not the animals) took time to stop the work while I shuttled the animals around and helped me hunt one down. I will certainly use this company again and I have no hesitation recommending them.

This is not the 1st time I have hired Chris and as usual I am very pleased with the results. From start to finish Chris and his team provide 1st rate service and quality work. Chris' estimate was in the middle of those I asked for and so I was happy to choose him based on past experience. The work was done very quickly, cleaned up every day and always left me with a basically functional kitchen area regardless of what was going on. Chris gave me various suggestions of places to go to choose my cabinets, etc. In one case I didn't follow Chris' selection and later on my original choice of counter became unavailable, so Chris sent me elsewhere, dug out my previous counter he had already removed, reinstalled it and set me up as well as possible for the 2 wk delay I caused. I love the results! My new home is actually a century home and Chris knows so much he was able to take into account the old plaster walls, heating and other weird stuff as well as giving me useful suggestions on making my kitchen modern but in keeping with the age of the home. I would like to add my 10/10 really means something: a) I have a number of rental properties so I have hired more contractors than most home owners; b) despite the above I made a whopper of a mistake choosing another contractor and have had to write my first ever 1/10 review. I am very pleased to recommend Zion and his team at Bin Solutions. He was able to determine my needs over the phone with a couple of pictures. My bins were delivered and assembled promptly. They provide all the garbage for 4 apartments. They sit at the back of my property and I have received compliments on all 3 sides--how professional they look, how well constructed and of course the lovely cedar aroma. Several neighbours have also inquired about their own bins.

Hello; I would like to recommend Strokes of Genius Painting. Awhile ago I had a tenant skip on me leaving an episode of "Hoarders: Buried Alive" behind. Not only were few contractors interested in the job but I also needed a very fast turnaround time. Daniel and his gang were amazing: the whole job was done beautifully, quickly and very reasonably priced. I don't normally give 10/10 but this was truly exceptional service. My only worry about this review is they might not be available the next time I call--which I definitely will! Thank you Daniel
