Ashton renovations review We just finished a home renovation with Ashton Renovations ~ we renovated a 60 year old home to update 2 bathrooms, add insulation where none existed and unify 2 floors. This included all new flooring, trim, new doors throughout, updated electrical where none existed and fully repainted throughout. We added several extras as the renovation progressed which Mark and Chris took in stride without batting an eyelash ~ some add ons were long standing irritants that just made our home so much more functional. Our Reno started at the onset of COVID, therefore took much longer than expected. Mark shared all Reno sources with us so we could pick out our items and receive trade discounts where possible. All of the preferred trades Mark works with are experienced and extremely professional, shout out to Bruce and his demo team, Tony and his plumbing team, Kosta and his team who completed all electrical, Will and his Dad ~ absolute masters at tile work, and Glass Ninja who installed 2 glass showers and helped revamp a 1960s stairwell, which looks exactly like the inspiration pictures I shared. Mark and Chris were very easy to work with start to finish, very responsive and always willing to provide opinion and collaborate to get the best possible outcome. Shane was referred to me by a friend at work. Shane was very easy to deal with, he provided all details of what is covered in the duct cleaning and sanitization and even cleans your dryer vent as well. The service takes approximately 3 hours so plan accordlingly, this allows Shane to complete a thorough job. We had a challenge with our duct work and air return which Shane pointed out, so we can bring in an HVAC company to have it looked at. Thanks again Shane

Wayne and his team were very responsive - they provided a fair quote on the work required to be done. I had them check the exterior of the house and we found some additional spots requiring tuckpointing. The front porch step was repaired flawlessly, brick replacement was completed near the porch area and they found a perfect match to our 1960's brick. Wayne followed up to ensure we were happy with the work. They did such a great job a neighbour asked for their contact information so they could get some work done at their house. Thanks again Wayne and team, an absolute pleasure to deal with !

We called Enbridge Gas due to a gas smell I noticed coming from our gas fireplace vent outside of the house. Turns out that was fine however Enbridge decided to check all outside gas lines and noticed 2 leaks and some issues in our gas lines and shut off our gas and RED tagged the lines and basically said good luck. We checked on Home Stars and found Keith, who came out within the hour and fixed the leaks and advised us on how to respond to Enbridge to clear the RED tags. Keith did a great job, was thorough, checked all lines inside and out of the house and checked all gas related appliances to ensure we were in ship shape. Thanks again Keith

We found Tilestars here on Homestars - Dmitri and his team installed our new kitchen porcelain tile flooring with baseboards and marble backsplash. From start to finish they were professional, on time, stuck to the quote, provided guidance and advice, and left no stone unturned in the final finishes and clean up. My husband and I are thrilled with the work, special thank you to Vladamir for the marble backsplash - we love it !

We contacted Public Plumbing on recommendation from Tilestars for our kitchen reno plumbing, sink, and a high end faucet install. Vlad did a great job installing shutoffs, the tap, and hooking up the sink. It all works and looks great. Would definitely use again.

We sourced out tile for our kitchen back splash and floor at another tile store and went to the Tile Store to see if they had the tile we were looking for as we wanted to deal with a neighbourhood location. They did have the tile and in both cases it was $2 cheaper a sq foot. The shopping experience was great as well - they have a very relaxed team who just know how to do customer service !! We are so happy we found them

I purchased a high end kitchen faucet from Watermarks. I searched places in my neighbourhood but was less than impressed with their service. I contacted Watermarks and from start to finish they were terrific to deal with.

Mark was prompt and did a great job installing our OTR microwave. He had to jackhammer through 2 layers of brick and kept the mess to a minimum. Mark quoted the work and got the job done with no issues - thanks again !

Great job - George installed a gas line for our new range - the space for the install was slightly unusual due to the style of our house but he solutioned it quickly. George was prompt, kept a very clean job site, the install looks great. Very nice to deal with and now we have a working stove, we would definitely use Gas Guys again - thanks George!!
