Alex from Red Seal came out after we had discovered a leak in our water service which affected our main house and laneway. After doing some digging and finding the leak, he came back on a Saturday to repair it and then the following Monday to excavate and install a new water service (19 mm pex) and PRV. I appreciated the way he problem solved and provided options. Price was very reasonable.

We hired Centra to replace 8 single pane windows. All of the windows were non standard size, which was common for 1950s era houses. Mark came by to check out the windows in December 2014 and provided a quote on the spot. The installation date was a couple of months later on a Saturday, which was convenient. The crew (Kyle, Darren, and Scott) did a good job and tidied up nicely. After the work was finished, Kyle and I did a walk through and he answered any questions I had. We were happy with the quality of work and it only took about half a day.

We were planning on replacing our roof later this spring, but we had a small leak so we decided to advance the schedule. I got 4 quotes ranging from about $7000 to $9000 for removal of 2 layers of shingles, installation of sheathing, 3 new vents, underlay, and new ashpalt shingles. We also removed the top part of our chimney. Cody was able to provide a detailed estimate the same day I called with a general scope of work, safety information and WorkSafeBC standing. They had the second lowest price (only by a few hundred dollars) and much better ratings on HomeStars so I decided to go with Adanac. In addition, they said the job would only take 1 day instead of 2 days which the other companies told me. This was important since we had the roof done in late January. Once I told them they were the preferred contractor, they lined up my job within 3 days which was great since the weather had been good. They made sure they had a big enough crew to get the work done in 1 day even though their material delivery was delayed. They did a good job of cleaning up the site; after they were done, I only found a few small pieces of debris. Cody came by a few days later to make sure I was satisfied with the work (which I was) before he invoiced me. In short, they had a good price, did the work as planned, and had no extras. Not much more you can ask for from a contractor. Would definitely recommend them.
