Had them in to fix our faulty furnace and they did a great job and were very knowledgeable. Came back a couple times to troubleshoot and also provided us a reasonable quote for our basement development. Definitely recommended.

Took my TV in for repair and was immediately wary of the haphazard shop with TVs strewn all over the place, all sitting on the floor. There aren't many repair places in Calgary though so I still gave them my TV. They never called when it was ready. I called them and they said they thought it was ready and that he'd check and call me back immediately. He never called back again. I called the next day and was told that it was ready. When I picked it up it was super damaged. It had been dragged repeatedly and the TV can no longer be wall mounted because it looks so bad. The owner claims they are not responsible for scratches.

Our microwave was broken, GE Cafe, and these guys are the manufacturer recommended service shop in Calgary. The guy came and determined that we needed a new one and moved the microwave out to our garage for us. The installer was nice and friendly, good guy. We later saw that he had also ripped the veneer off of our cabinet beside it though... It has now been three weeks and they have never gotten back to us with a quote for a new microwave, never offered any money or to attempt to fix the cabinet (we got a quote from the installers of our cabinets for $126 to fix it). I have called them 6 times and 1 email. They have never contacted me. They always seem somewhat helpful on the phone and then don't do anything or return your calls.

Eric did a great job on our floor. We went with the full flake polyaspartic which I think was a good choice. He did the grinding/concrete repairs one day and the coating the next day. Looks great and is super easy to clean. It's held up well now for a year and a half. EDIT: After 2 years it started peeling/cracking and now the business is gone. I can't find contact info for Eric. His number is out of service, the Facebook/LinkedIn pages are deleted, etc. 10 year warranty down the drain...

Hi Mike,

Just want to say how much we appreciate you taking the time to review a year and a half later. We work hard to give top quality products that last and love hearing from customers who are loving their floors.

All the best,

We built a new house with Augusta/NuVista three years ago. During the process we met with Maguires and upgraded quite a few things with Maguires that ended up being an extra $12k. We switched the entire main floor to tile, upgraded to epoxy grout, upgraded the tile, backsplashes, etc. During the build they used the wrong tile in our master bath, main bath and laundry room (black instead of medium gray). After offering us a very small amount of money, which we refused to take, she then insulted our original selections and said that the black would look better. We asked for the correct tile to be installed and it was but it was very sloppily done. The schluter work has tons of gaps in it, none of the angles are even close to 90 degrees, there are large gaps between the tile and walls, etc. On the main floor we had a ton of dirt mixed into our grout that looks horrible. The grout is also very uneven with areas of the grout actually flowing on top of the tile. One tile in the living room was chipped. When they replaced that one they chipped the next tile. When they replaced the newly chipped tile they ended up chipping ANOTHER tile. We eventually gave up on asking them to fix the tiles and now just live with the chip. Three or four times we had to interrupt the installers as they attempted to use regular grout during a repair, when the rest of the grout is epoxy grout. They sent over a manager or somebody who smelled strongly of alcohol, which was strange given that it was 8am. They made a lot of excuses and refused to fix everything that was difficult for them to fix. Very disappointed in how everything happened and would not recommend them to an enemy.

Our first install didn't go all that well and I left a bad review for Phoenix Fence. They contacted me and said they would love to fix up what was done incorrectly and provide us a fence for the other side of our property which still needed a fence. I agreed and they did a much better job. I feel that they are a good company, and as long as you can communicate your expectations, they will do their best to meet them.

Pretty horrible experience all around. Lots of issues came up and they responded with lots of refusals to fix our problems. When they made a mistake the only way to get it fixed was to give them more money. This happened several times. When we paid for upgrades and they didn't deliver them we didn't get any refunds. Horrible.
