I will say that Ideal Stairs absolutely exceeded my expectations. I needed an extra handrail installed for a senior having difficulties going up and down the stairs. Mesh quoted me a price within a day or two of my email. He told me that it would take about 6 weeks but they delivered this in half that time. The price was much higher than other quotes but Mesh based on the reviews and my conversation with Mesh I had the confidence in Ideal Stairs. Now comes to the actual product. Absolutely amazing workmanship. The handrail looks far superior to anything I imagined getting. Its looks better than my builder handrail. The installation took a little longer than I expected as they stained the handrail at my home. I'm guessing because they needed to make sure the stain was a close match to my existing handrail. The two installers did a meticulous job ensuring the handrail was installed correctly and securely. The curve of the handrail at the bottom was done to perfection.

I called several companies to get my attic insulation topped up. Eco Comfort was the ONLY company that came to my how to provide a quote. Everyone else just wanted approximate sq. footage to provide a quote. Eco Comfort did a bunch of other things as part of their package like the installation of the rafter vents along the soffits. They also provide multiple photographs for me for the before and after process. I probably won't know how much of effect this made on my heating bill until next winter but these guys did a great job and clean up. On my energy audit post installation, the inspector commented on the amazing job Eco Comfort did with the insulation.

I dealt with Daniel from Total Home Windows and Doors to replace 12 windows and 2 Storm Doors. Daniel gave an honest and competitive quote. Daniel gave me both options of replacing brick to brick and retrofitting the windows. Most of my competitive quotes would not offer retrofitting and they would blatantly not recommend it as the frame would get damaged during removal of the old windows. I watched the guys remove the old windows and its a LOT of work to do it properly. You will get some nicks and scratches in the frame but TH did a good job plastering those up. I do have some more touch ups I need to do on the frame but that's a drop in the bucket for the money saved by doing retrofitting. I also got Total Home to replace my storm doors. The installation of the storm doors took a little long (they had to come back a few days later to complete) but they did an AMAZING job with the installation and the door looks amazing. I would definitely recommend these guys for replacing your Windows.

I have gone through a carousel of lawn care companies over the last 20 years. I think I've finally found the right choice. I have security cameras around my home so i can see what these lawn technicians are doing. Most companies barely put any effort to get close to full coverage of my lawn. Its quite shocking when you see this.. With Frechette, regardless of who the technician is, there is a serious attention to detail. Its remarkable. Maybe its a coincidence, but this was my first year without crab grass. My lawn has looked great all year long. I did not see a technician come on a day so hot that the fiesta product would not work which is something I saw quite often with previous companies. The other shocking part was their price is extremely competitive, possible even cheaper than the other well known alternatives. There is no doubt that I will be renewing my services for next year.

In preparing my late father's condo to list for sale, I needed a very deep cleaning done as the unit had been empty for 18 months. Given the choice between 2 cleaners for 3 hours or 1 cleaner for 6 hours at the same rate, I chose the 3 hour option as I live 30 minutes away from the property being cleaned. Although I was told at the time of booking that the number of cleaners would be subject to availability, I was not notified that only 1 cleaner would be coming, instead of the 2 I had requested. I was not prepared to spend 6 hours at this location so I asked the cleaner Erica, to do 4 hours. Although I was not happy with the initial miscommunication, I think that Erica did a phenomenal job! Even though she was solo, she did a very thorough cleaning of the unit. An additional person could have assisted in moving the washer/dryer aside to tackle a very tough stain, as Erica was unable to clean that area by herself. Other than that one area, Erica went over and above and I'm very happy with the job she did. Thank you Erica! I would suggest that Squeaky Cleaning Services make it a practice to inform clients as to how many cleaners will be coming, so they can make adjustments to their schedules if need be.

A huge thank you to Brendan and his team for an excellent job, completed in less than the 8 hours they were given. I was searching for a company to repaint my late father's condo in preparation of putting it on the market for sale. However, most painters were already booked out for the next couple of months and I needed to get this done ASAP! I am so thankful for finding WOW 1 Day Painting as true to their name, they were in and out in 1 day! It took less than a week from the initial quote to get the team in there and the unit is now freshly painted and ready to list. They may appear to be more costly than other painters, but it's the convenience that I paid for in securing services quickly, and having the job completed in 1 day! Thank you WOW 1 Day Painting!

I had a previous company install a dryer venting system that was custom fitting for my dryer about 5 years ago. I recently replaced my dryer and I was experiencing significant humidity in my laundry room. I called Marc to redo my dryer venting connection. Despite running into some car problems, made it to my location. He removed the old custom connection and replaced it with a more universal connection that was tightly sealed so the dryer can vent properly. On these types of jobs I would always defer to a dryer venting specialist as opposed to a regular duct cleaning person. They are extremely reasonably priced and they'll complete the job properly.

I hired Chris last year to replace my Garage door. I was looking for someone who could offer a professional opinion on several garage door brands and explain the advantages of all the doors. I had several companies drop a low price which equated to a low quality door. I went with the CHI door and the Walnut Accent along with the Aluminum Caps. Chris installed the door very quickly. Its been a year an I've not had a single problem.

I reached out via Homestars to several contractors to re-build a laundry enclosure that was not practical to service my washer dryer. I was looking for a someone to knock down a mini tub like enclosure and build one half the size. Arnold responded but proposed a completely alternate solution to accomplish the same thing but at a 3rd of the price. He built a deck inside the enclosure that made it easy to pull the washer/dryer out for maintenance and cleaning. It probably wasn't something Arnold does often but it was the perfect solution my problem. I will definitely look to Arnold for some of the bigger projects I have for next year.

I hired Blackstar Aluminum 3 years ago but I'm just getting to completing the review. I purchased the Alu Rex T eaves for the entire house. I did have a special drain spout off my balcony that Tony found a great solution to close it off so the squirrels stayed out of my balcony. I did have a few leaks that required Blackstar to come back. Unfortunately, I have one area that still leaks (after being serviced twice). I'll look for some alternative solution to resolve that.

I was looking for a new place to get my blinds and custom drapery since my previous person retired and sold the business. The new company setup an appointment but never showed up. We found Tony who responded to my email within hours. He provided an in-person quote the next day. He also facilitated a repair on an older Hunter Douglas window covering which I purchased from the other company. Tony's cost was reasonable and his suggestions and recommendations are valuable.

I reached out to several Window and Door companies as I wanted to replace my front door and my upstairs balcony door. What I found difficult was that everyone pushed their opinion without really understanding what I wanted. Firstly, I wanted to keep my storm door and I didn't care that nobody does this anymore. I struggled with the option of sandblasting the window because I wanted to see through the glass to look outside. Gregory was great to work with as he allowed us to tell him what we wanted. We kept our storm door which Omega did a fantastic job re-installing. We chose a clear glass with wrought iron inserts and got window coverings instead. I really like this as I get to enjoy the beauty of my door from inside my house. We also had some high end locks that I was concerned would be a problem to re-install but the installer was able to figure it out (by calling a friend). Yuri did a great job supervising the project. They had delivered the wrong glass on the upstairs doors but Yuri had this resolved while everyone was on site. Omega was not the cheapest but that should never be the deciding factor. I initially went with someone cheaper but that backfired on me big time. I would recommend Omega to anyone looking for windows and doors.

I used Vanguard two years and never got around to doing a review. They did a fantastic job caulking around all my windows and vents. Definitely recommend this company if you are looking for caulking.

We hired RJ Aluminum to replace our railings and columns on the porch and the balcony. Joe was absolutely fantastic and delivered a very competitive quote. Joe was very accommodating as we were getting our porch redone which needed to be done before the railings where done. We had to co-ordinate several visits by Joe and his installer Dmitry so they can align with our concrete contractor which was more than 2 months delayed. We first had them replace our old round fiberglass columns with square aluminum columns to match the rails and doors. Since the railings were ready (and our concrete contractor was not) Joe had Dmitry come out and replace our Balcony railings and wait until the concrete is done before doing the porch. Once we knew the concrete contractor was coming, Joe came out to remove the railings on the lower lever as we didn't want to remove them earlier for safety reasons. Finally once the concrete was done, Dmitry was back again to complete the job and install the railings on the lower level. Its tough when you have to manage multiple contractors for a single job but RJ Aluminum made it a LOT easier given how flexible they were with multiple visits and working around the schedule of the other contractor. I would highly recommend RJ Aluminum if you are looking to replace your railings and/or columns.

We booked We-Haul to move my mother out of a 2 bedroom condo and into a townhouse. Javier and team showed up on time and ready to work. We only had a two hour window for the elevator so the guys had to work quick. The team worked very hard and completed on time. They never once complained about lifting heavy furniture up narrow stairwells. This move was flawless from start to finish. We'd recommend We-Haul to anyone looking for movers. They are also very competitively priced and came with 3 guys.

I've used Leroy twice in the last 6 months. The first time was due to a leaking Samsung Refrigerator and the second time was for a faulty Kenmore Elite Dishwasher door. Leroy is very responsive and extremely fair in his rates. He was able to come the next day and fix both issues promptly . I highly recommend Leroy for any appliance repair needs.

I called Dale to install a 55" TV above our fireplace. Dale did a fantastic job in fishing the wires from the basement to behind the TV. He also installed an in wall Power Bridge that allows me to have my TV plugged into my surge protector. On the following day I did notice that one of the HDMI cable runs was not working. Dale was extremely professional about this and promptly came back and replaced the cable at no extra charge. I would strongly recommend Dale to anyone looking to mount a TV.

I've hired Just Junk twice to remove household junk including a couple Big Screen TVs. We are in the process of getting our basement finished and we had to clear out a lot of junk. We did the first batch last fall and the second one this year. They are very quick and priced competitively. I'm not sure why you would want a bin on your driveway for a week when you can hire these guys to do all the work. I'm positive I will use them again.

I hired World Wide Stucco to repair the stucco at the top of my house that was applied by the builder and was now peeling off. World Wide Stucco was able to provide me an accurate quote based on pictures exchanged by email. They also had access to a Lift to reach the top of the house instead of setting up scaffolding outside my house for a week. This was his recommendation to prevent any damage to my trees or landscaping. They also did a good job cleaning up an debris from the removal of the original stucco. They were also the only ones that offered a 10 year warranty. He also gave me a significant discount when my neighbour hired him during the job.

We hired LSB Renovations to upgrade our washrooms. The kids were sharing a single sink and we wanted to upgrade to a double sink. The kid’s bathroom tub was also extremely deep so we wanted to put in a shallower tub. In the Master washroom, we had a soaker tub that we never used. We wanted to remove the tub and replace it with additional storage (make up counter and a linen closet). With the extra space, we decided to increase the size our shower. We invited multiple contractors to provide a quote on our project. The kid’s washroom was very straight forward whereas the master washroom was more involved. I was looking for creativity and allowing each contractor to propose the best use of the available space. I found that Luis proposed options that would make the washroom more functional whereas other contractors proposed options that would just drive the price up. It was obvious that Luis has a wealth of experience and has been doing renovations for many years. Luis also provided a very detailed quote and an accurate estimate of how long the project will take. The project was on time and on budget. Luis did everything possible to minimize the impact on us during the renovations. He delayed certain tasks to ensure we always had a working washroom for us to use during the renovations. Luis was always receptive to our concerns and did everything possible to ensure we were happy. Luis also looked for ways to save us money. We were short a couple tiles from what the builder left behind, so instead of ripping it out completely, we came up with patterns using newer tiles to complement the existing tiles. Luis was also open to making changes along the way and never once charged us extra for any of the modifications. He even fixed a couple extra things around the house that needed attention. The cabinetry guy he uses is extremely top quality. The new vanities/counter tops he installed are better quality then our existing cabinets that came with the house. During the project, it was generally Luis and his son that were here every day. We didn’t have an army of trades people coming in and out of the house. We felt comfortable with Luis and we are looking forward to working with him on our next project.
