After purchasing an older home and renovating the second floor, our back deck was in need of a complete makeover, showing the signs of two decades worth of good use. We purchased an older semidetached home in midtown Toronto and wanted to transform an open second floor terrace into a master bedroom and master bathroom, along with remodeling another bedroom and main bathroom. We also had the main floor hardwood replaced. Recommended by friends, the Mixedesigns team handled our renovation project in a professional and expert fashion from the planning stages through to completion and the final inspections. We worked directly with Tony, Owner, Travis, Structural Designer, and Tina, Designer. Essential to the project, Travis worked closely with us, offering different architectural/engineering solutions for our needs, and with an eye to our budget. Tony and Travis work well together, carefully considering the big picture as well as important visual and structural details. Always approachable, Tony was very accessible and responsive to all questions, taking the time to explain the process and progress at every stage. While there was a considerable delay in beginning the project, once the project started, everything ran very smoothly, on time and under budget. Tony has an excellent eye for detail and goes out of his way to ensure his clients are completely satisfied. We found that Tina has a natural gift for discovering and refining the interior design expectations of clients. She adeptly presented and sourced interior design elements that fit an overall picture that was right for us, while remaining budget conscious.
