Once again Ali came through. He replaced my panel and fished wire down four floors of an old Victorian home in order to install ductless air conditioning. And it wasnt easy!

Sergei came to my house when he said he would and went the extra mile diagnosing and repairing my 18-year-old Amana fridge, which had stopped cooling. He spent hours defrosting many months worth of built-up ice in the freezer and kept to his original labour estimate. Then he found the culprit - an inexpensive part - and replaced it. He was pleasant throughout, left the kitchen spotless, and even helped me move my kitchen sideboard back into place. A great appliance repairman is hard to find, so I feel very lucky to have found him.

Ali came promptly to fix the switch and the wiring that my handyman had installed on my roofdeck. He brought it up to code and it's now protected from the elements. I will definitely call on his services again.

Radislav came promptly to fix a door lock that has been giving me trouble for many years. The lock has been replaced twice and was still sticking, partly because of the thickness of my door. Radislav not only spent twice his originally estimated time struggling with the lock to get it right but also found a way to remount the antique bronze lock surround that a previous locksmith has removed. He also helped me out with a doorknob replacement - and all for the original estimate! The lock works smoothly now for the first time ever and the door looks great. He is definitely the locksmith I will call from now on.

Luca did a lovely job installing my third-floor patio doors. They’ve transformed my third storey loft and look great from the roof deck. He was a great help with the finishing trim for my sloping roof deck.

From building shelves to installing vanities to repairing a drafty door, Mamuka really can do it all. I asked Mamuka to do a wide variety of jobs to get my house ready for habitation, and he did them all very well - with care, conscientiousness, and skill. I recommend him highly.

Omri inspired confidence from our first meeting. He was very careful not to rush my decisions and sent samples when I had trouble choosing a fabric and style. The blinds he installed are clearly of good quality and he fitted them himself, taking great care with details. I live in an old house and my walls aren't straight, but Omri somehow managed to minimize and gaps and produce a clean modern look. I'm very pleased with the result.

This review is long overdue. Sinco Granite was a pleasure to deal with from beginning to end. From choosing the slab with Sarmen and his father to the installation, I knew I was in good capable hands. This is a true family artisanal operation, from purchasing to measuring and installation, and their prices are highly competitive. Sarmen also went the extra mile and found a way to undermount an apron sink that wasn't designed for undermounting. It looks beautiful, and I highly recommend this company.

This review is long overdue. Alex and his team transformed a poky little hole-in-the-wall into a gorgeous modern kitchen. They went above and beyond, customizing IKEA panels to work in my awkward skylight-dominated space. And when a small adjustment was needed later to suit the under-cabinet lighting, Alex was more than fair with the price. I recommend Kitchen Installation very highly.

Elaine and her crew painted the interior of my three-story townhouse-style apartment and did an outstanding job. There were many challenges as she had to work around an ongoing floor and kitchen restoration and an electrician who created holes in the wall as fast as Elaine could patch them! She was a dream to deal with throughout, taking challenges in her stride, showing up reliably, cleaning up at the end of the day, offering great suggestions, minimizing stress, and always being a pleasure to talk to. The finished walls are beautiful with fine attention to detail. I really could not have asked for anyone better.

Shayan and his team were a pleasure to deal with throughout the exterior painting of my house. They accommodated last minute requests and did extra work on sanding and repairs to my damaged soffits without charge. Raphael, the lead painter, was always upbeat and positive, and could not have been more conscientious. Chromatist are professionals through and through, and the results have transformed my house.

Konstantinos and his father built beautiful stone steps for us, as well as some landscaping I asked for when the steps put the garden to shame. :) They always showed up when they said they would and their price was very competitive. They were patient and generous with my finicky add-ons, and no request was too big or too small. I'm very glad I found them here on Homestars.
