The drain pipe had fallen as the clamps holding the pipe along the outer wall had given way. While Multi Service Aluminum was prompt in responding and arriving at my home, the job was done in 15-20 minutes by drilling a couple of holes along the outer wall and screwing in the clamps after placing the pipe. Thus basically for screwing in four screws into the wall, the cost was exorbitant. Any handy man would have done this job in $150.

In assessing any home services, I generally look at four factors: 1. Professionalism 2. Quality of Workmanship 3. Quality of materials used and, 4. Price. When applied to Preferred Plumbing Solutions, here is my opinion. Professionalism – This is prominently displayed from the very time you pick up the phone and call them. Sandra at the office, as well as the technicians, Raphie and Mario, are all thorough professionals. When dealing with them, they treat you with respect and courteousness. They are also very thorough in their assessment of the problem and take a lot of pain in explaining the issue to the client and its solutions. The solutions offered are tiered and graded to offer price options to clients. This is to enable them to meet with their budgets similar to platinum, gold, silver and bronze plans one comes across with other service providers. Quality of Workmanship – Since this company always uses a team of two, the workmanship is very neat and thorough. This is quite rare for ordinary plumbers to work as a team. They respect your home and keep the work area and surroundings clean. Quality of Materials – The materials used are of the highest quality but they would be equally pleased to work with materials that you supply provided it meets their minimum quality standards. Price – If you are looking for “cheap” prices for the type of services that this company performs, this may not be your kind of plumber. But considering the value that this company provides, the warranties for their work, I can say that overall, I was very pleased with Preferred Plumbing Solutions.

Billy, of Shower Lagoon came by and installed a sliding glass door on my tub that previously had a shower curtain. I paid him the agreed price and he left. Later, I found that the job was not completely satisfactory to me. So I called him back and sought his cooperation to get the problem fixed. Being an honest person and wanting to please his customer, Billy came back subsequently and checked out the reason for my dissatisfaction. He retook the measurements and replaced the glass and equipment with a brand new system so that the job could be completed to my satisfaction. Looking back, the problem faced initially was not due to the workmanship of Shower Lagoon but the poor quality tub that was installed by the builders of my home. Even my son, seemed to agree that the problem was that of the tub that was poorly constructed. Despite this issue, Shower Lagoon’s men worked very hard, made necessary adjustments and got the job done perfectly using the new system. Rarely do you find suppliers who would respond so efficiently to fix a problem after they have been paid in full. Their installers are very respectful and receptive of their client’s requirements. I would strongly recommend dealing with Shower Lagoon.

I hired Ion Sandu for 3 jobs: 1. Replacement of backyard security light 2. Replacement of new Landscape lights 3. Installation of a timer switch All jobs were done satisfactorily with professionalism​. Most importantly, however, I found Ion to be very cooperative and helpful and was willing to make adjustments even when I changed my mind on certain issues after the installation was completed. I would have no hesitation in using his services again.

I received quotes from 3-4 companies for replacement of my shower doors. The selection of suppliers who were invited to quote all required a possess a minimum of 9 stars. Shower Lagoon was the cheapest of the lot by a wide margin. Of course, pricing is not the only consideration, since "cheap" does not necessarily mean good. The other factors that need assessment are the quality of the goods used, relaiablity of the vendor and service before, during after the job is completed. In July 2015, I suffered water damage in my home that caused the ceiling in my living room to be soaked with water. I arranged for emergency drying of the ceiling and thereafter proceeded to seek contractors through Home Stars for replacement. My search resulted in my contacting 3-D Drywall as they were listed one of the reputed contractors. Richard and Betty (a husband and wife team that own 3-D Drywall) came over and provided me with a very reasonable quote. Both of them displayed tremendous knowledge in the service they were providing coupled with a very friendly but professional disposition. Unfortunately, I did not end up using the services of 3-D Drywall to complete my project because I changed my mind on replacing the entire drywall. I found both, Richard and Betty as very genuine people and certainly one of a kind that I personally would be very comfortable to do business with, given my prior experience with some other contractors. With Richard and Betty’s vast knowledge and experience in the drywall business, I would not hesitate to recommend their services for any drywall related work.
