I called them to quote on removing the exterior p trap connected to the main sewage line to avoid clogging and back ups triggering our back water valve. Bob was amazing from the get go....offered his advice and presented a reasonable cost to address the issue. The guys came and worked very hard all day! They were polite and answered any questions I had. We plan on having them back to help out with a few other plumbing jobs....they are reliable and honest which is a relief!

They arrived, they installed, they left. They were professional, did an amazing install and left very little mess..just a bit of saw dust from the cutting. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

Once again I came home from vacation and my back lane gate was flapping in the wind. I had hired another handyman from this site but he was not available for a week. So I tried these guys. Dylan the pm came and estimated the job, the guys showed up on time. I thought the work might need some tweaking & after a quick email to Dylan they were scheduled to come back and finish off to my liking. They are good guys and willing to help. Just be very specific as to your expectations, with any handyman you hire. I have tried at least 4 from this site and each experience is different. Be very detailed as to your expectations and all will usually be good. These guys are good and punctual, willing to help but not master carpenters.

After returning home from a long trip I found the gate to my lane way access literally flapping in the wind. We use it as a major part of our home security. I called Charlie (aka Rescue Man) first thing in the morning. Charlie and Dan came stopped by after another job and fixed it for me. They were amazing, went the extra mile, I felt comfortable with them and feel my home is safe again. When I first read the name I kind of chuckled, but it turns out he really was my rescue man. I will definite use them again and highly recommend them.

I emailed Dan based on the reviews from this site. He sent his brother Glen (?) over to 1. Install a door on my shed, 2. Cut and install shelves for my pantry and 3. Install the door jam and door. 1. It took over an hour for him to install a pre-hung door he had trouble squaring. This job really shouldn't have taken more than 15-30 mins and now I have paneling propped up beside the shed and other items that were in the shed now lay propped up on the outside. I have arthritis and this is an issue for me. 2. He did an okay job of cutting 4 shelves from some old shelves that I had, however the top one is so close to the door jam that it isn't useable. This took him around 3 hours again that is a bit longer than I think it should have taken. 3. The door jam, well in all fairness the opening was a bit about a 1/4" at the bottom. My concern was that he didn't appear to be knowledgeable around standard door sizes when he recommended that I take back the door I had and swap it for a 16". He spent approx 1 1/2 hrs playing with the jam and asking me for advice. I don't mean to be harsh but I thought I was paying for their expertise. I realize that it had its challenges but I didn't expect to have to be the one who problem solved for him. In the end me with my arthritis had to take the 18" door back and special order a 16 3/4" door for the pantry, his spec for a 17" door was off based on the squared opening he left. Having said that, he was pleasant and if you only require some very basic help like hanging a picture or replacing light bulbs etc I would recommend them for jobs of that kind. I'm still waiting for the call back re the door installation that was done on Oct 5th, it's now the 13th. I have proceeded without them. UPDATE: I don't want to get into a banter about this..some of the response stated just isn't true....proceed with caution and use for basic services.

Sherry I’m sorry that you feel this way about the work that was done. Unfortunately this is the first I have heard of it. There is a ? by Glen. Frank is his name and not related.

#1 Frank had to get the used pre hung door from the neighbour.
It was a 34” door that need 36”rough opening. The shed was 34” and had to be maid larger. Frank informed Sherry that the paneling would not fit in the shed with the door on.

#2 Sherry was consulted and agreed on height of shelving before they where cut and installed. Each shelf a different size and angel and cleats installed for the shelf to rest on.

#3 Frank framed in existing opening with a door jam provided. The 18” door provided would not fit in the space where Sherry wanted to make a pantry. Frank offered suggestions for doors that could be trimmed to fit. A special order normally takes 2 weeks. Frank also left his name and phone number and said to call when she had the new door and he would come and install it free of charge. Frank offered to put the door for return in the customer’s car.

After watching one too many home reno shows where contractors are depicted as money grabbing vultures with no conscientious and who skip town in the middle of the night leaving the house in a state equal to a living nightmare; I was hesitant to say the least when it came time to hire painters. I’d read the reviews and say to myself “if only it were this simple and these reviews are true…” After reading many reviews and arranging for three quotes we decided to hire The Moore Brothers to paint our dinning room, hallway, staircase, upper hallway, and small bath; including the walls, ceiling and trim. I had added wainscoting to the hallway which would add to the prep time. A further challenge would be to protect our birds and dog. We were very concerned about the amount of dust and fumes -- it is a small house. On the day of the project Kelly and Kyle showed up on time. They were professional and very patient with our requests and accommodated our needs in a very pleasant and relaxed manner. At the end of the first day we noticed the paint was lighter than we thought after checking with Kevin we realized that we had given Kevin the lighter version of the paint chip, fortunately it was the same family just lighter. Well that was no problem Kelly offered to get it darkened before they started the second coat. They were as understanding and patient as one could be. The second day was spent finishing all the wood work, ceilings and hanging lights back up and fire alarms with new batteries etc. After picking up the paint that had been darkened they finished the job in the morning of the third day. I ran home at lunch to see the final product and tears almost came to my eyes…they did such a beautiful and professional job! It was better than I had even hoped it would be. They did an amazing job, were neat and completely cleaned up after themselves. I can honestly say it was the smartest decision I had made in a while and money well spent. My home looks lovely, the difference is amazing and the guys were fantastic! They definitely went beyond the call and did many little extras for us along the way. I can’t recommend them enough and no I am not related or even a distant friend. All of the reviews you see here are true. If you need to hire painters these are definitely the guys for the job. The Moore Brothers are fantastic!
