We are writing this review to state what a pleasure it was dealing with Ashton Heating & Cooling Inc. We contacted Ashton this past September regarding the replacement of our old furnace, air filter and hot water tank. The owner Bill Ashton arrived at our home and completed a thorough inspection of our old equipment and confirmed our belief that it needed replacement. Bill provided us with detailed information regarding the various brands of available replacement equipment including the pros and cons of each. Bill's quotation was competitive and the purchase was completed. His team arrived the following week when scheduled and completed a professional installation including a thorough cleanup and the removal of the old equipment. Two of the screen doors in our sun room were damaged by a puppy and required repairs. We contacted Doctor Screen and spoke with the owner David Barker. David provided two quotes for the repairs. One for regular screening and one for "pet proof" screening. We elected to go with the "pet proof" screening & set up a date for the repair. David arrived on time & completed the repair in a very professional manner. We would highly recommend Doctor Screen to anyone requiring a screen door repair. Thanks David

Our home and our neighbour's home required a roof replacement. We obtained three quotes and elected to go with Wilson's Roofing. Wilson's Roofing provided a clear and concise overview of the roofing materials they use, the warranties, the installation process and a competitive quote. June 2019 was a very wet month & when a "dry" day was forecasted the Wilson's Roofing Team (a small army) arrived & went to work. Plywood barriers were placed to protect all of the gardens & exterior pool and air conditioning equipment. The entire process including the removal of the old shingles, the installation of new vents & new shingles and the cleanup was amazing. A first class job. This is a follow up review regarding the crown moulding installation in our home by Richard Czenez of Unique Custom Mouldings & Trim. Richard completed the installation of crown moulding throughout our entire home in December 2015. The project was completed in a very professional manner... no seams , perfect corner joints , and flush fits throughout. Our painter commented that it was the best installation he had ever seen. Over the past 2.5 years we have received numerous positive comments as to how beautiful the mouldings are and furthermore nothing has shifted or shrunk. An amazing job completed by a very talented young man. We would highly recommend Richard.

Our water softener was malfunctioning... draining constantly. We contacted Durham Water Treatment & spoke with Matt. Matt arrived at our home promptly the following afternoon. He inspected the softener & explained clearly what was causing the problem. He replaced the malfunctioning parts and reprogrammed the unit to make it run more efficiently and economically. Matt also recommended that we change the brand of softener salt to Windsor Select Plus as this would improve the performance of the softener. The softener now runs perfectly. We were very impressed with Matt's professional approach & the quality of service he provided. We would highly recommend Matt & his company Durham Water Treatment .

Our front door lock/dead bolt was jamming and difficult to lock & unlock. We contacted A to Z Locksmith Services and spoke with Roman the owner . We outlined the issues that we were experiencing & Roman set up an appointment with us for that same afternoon. Roman arrived right on time, inspected the lock/ deadbolt , clearly explained the cause of the problem & the correction solution. Roman repaired the lock / deadbolt in a professional manner & at a very reasonable cost . We were very impressed with Roman's quick response & excellent workmanship. Leighton arrived at our home prior to the scheduled time of our appointment. He performed a full inspection of the clothes dryer and vent pipe including photos for our review. He explained the importance of having a lint free condition for the prevention of dryer fires which are common place in Ontario however rarely reported. He completed a thorough cleaning of the dryer & vent pipe and provided photos showing the difference. Leighton did an excellent job & we would highly recommend his company.

In 2015 we wished to acquire a Murphy wall bed and visited two companies prior to meeting with Gerrit Bargeman the owner of Urban Cabinetry. The difference in the level of product quality offered by Urban Cabinetry including the structural construction & finish of their wall beds and most importantly the inclusion of an actual Murphy bed spring mechanism was far superior to their competition. Their pricing level was competitive & we ordered the bed & arranged for an installation date. Gerrit arrived at our home and completed a very professional installation & provided us with an overview of the raising & lowering operation of the bed. The bed is attractive & comfortable & we are completely satisfied.
