Eminence Exteriors was actually referred to me by the roofing company I used (Nomad Roofing, another 10 star company) and I'm extremely grateful that Ryan at Nomad put me in touch with Colan and Nick at Eminence Exteriors. They were able to provide multiple quote options depending on the amount of work I wanted done and the budget I had. Everything from just fixing the areas where water/vapor ingress was happening, to completely redoing the whole house. Given the age of the home (1971) and the cracking stucco, I opted to do the whole house. Complete removal of all the stucco, Removal of the old siding on the addition, replacing rotted/damaged wood, full Tyvek wrapping, capping on the windows and doors, cantilever insulation, cantilever soffits, and flashing on the addition (not pictured as that is being done in a couple days). My home is a bi-level split with 1800 sq ft above ground. So in my mind, there was a sizable amount of stucco to be remove and a lot of material to install. Despite the size of the project, and rain/thunder storm delays, the bulk of the work was done in under 10 days. Nick was able to meet me at my home on a Saturday morning to go over color options and collect the 25% down payment and work started within 3 days. Colan visited the site 3 or 4 times over the course of the project to ensure things were on track and to go over my OCD levels of detail. The lead hand, Sergii, could give a master's class on exterior home renovation work. Not only is he an absolute legend, he's also polite and personable. He did a full walk around with me on the first day of demos to confirm what I wanted done and he gave recaps of the work completed each day when I got home from work. He even stayed late to install new light fixtures which he certainly did not have to do. Anyone who is as prideful in their work as Sergii is the exact type of person you want working on your home. To say I'm happy with the results in an understatement. The exterior looks better than most new construction. The home is quieter (an unexpected bonus), and things are water tight and right. It honestly feels like a brand new home. If you've gotten this far in my review, please do yourself a favour and give Nick and Colan a chance to earn your business. I truly believe they are invested in their customers and want to do the best they can by you to meet your exterior renovation goals.

Ryan and Amy were a pleasure to work with. Ryan was the third of 3 contractors we had out to provide an estimate. He arranged to meet me while I was home. He provided the most comprehensive solution for our home (which has a 2/12ths slope over the sun room). He also recommended going with a rubberized 3-tab vs. architectural shingle due to the low slop area, 64 inches of Ice-guard all around as well as Ice-guard over the entirety of the sun room. All this, and his price was still more than competitive. Unfortunately the first installation did not go well. It was obvious to me that the crew had a bad day, and it showed in the shingles when I got home. I called Ryan that night, he asked for photos and an e-mail with the concerns, which was also provided the night of the installation. He met me at my home the next evening and stated that he had came by my house with an inspector that morning. He apologized up front and stated that the roof is not the quality he is willing to put his name on and that he will have a different crew out to pull it all off and put a new one on. I want to let that sink in for a bit because I think it speaks volumes about the kind of company Nomad is. In construction, crews have off days. It's how the company/contractor handles these issues that truly says what kind of a company they are. Ryan was receptive to my concerns the night of the installation, came by the next day with an inspector, and met me that evening in person to not only say he would redo the roof, but also personally apologized. This is a company worth trusting. The second roof was put on within a week and Ryan came by personally (on a Sunday no less) to re-inspect everything, do a few little adjustments, and make sure that I was happy with everything. Now my family has a beautiful new roof that should last for years to come. I highly recommend Nomad. I know by reading the reviews that the kind of issues I had with the first installation are a rarity, I'm more than pleased with how Nomad debt with it and will whole heartedly recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

Company Response

Thanks for writing a review for us Brian. Again, we apologize for the mistake that was made on the original installation. You were great to deal with for the duration of the project and we’re glad that in the end, everything turned out well and you received the roof we had originally promised you. We appreciate that you took the time to write an honest review of what occurred on site and are glad to hear that you valued the way we worked out the problem. It’s definitely an area we always strive to excel in. Thanks again!
