Discovered our new Rheem gas-fired hot water tank has a design flaw. If you use too much hot water, the tank fills up with cold water and it condenses, dripping water down the tank and onto the flame, knocking it out. The water collects in the pan at the bottom and makes it very hard to light again. Have to call the Enercare technician to come and take the pan and burner out to dry. Super annoying and inconvenient! Enercare needs to source a hot water tank designed for Canada and not California.

Steve and Sammy came to our home first thing in the morning to replace a triple-pane window panel that was delaminating from the inside. They were a little early (which we anticipated) and extremely proficient and super tidy. The window panel was replaced in 30 minutes with no fuss and no mess! The pair worked quickly and quietly, and what really surprised me is that they did not damage the interior window frame in any way. I was expecting to touch it up with white trim paint, but there were no marks. Unbelievable! We just wanted to express our thanks to Steve and Sammy for their hard work and professional service. They are excellent ambassadors for your brand and we will be recommending VWD to our friends.

I had originally returned a broken window blind to the Scarborough Blinds to Go store looking for a replacement under their Lifetime warranty. However, they informed me that the blind was not one of theirs. I was sure it was, but when I returned home, my wife produced the receipt from another blind company. I returned to place a new order with Blinds to Go because of the way the manager handled my complaint - he was very professional. I got my new blind and the lifetime warranty to go with it. Good work.

They say you shouldn't take the lowest bidder, but this has to be the exception. Ryan and his team stripped off my old roof and put on a new one in just one day - and it was a quality job! I stayed home from work to see that the ice shield and other elements were installed as contracted, and I have to tell you I have not seen a more professional crew. No joking around, just quality work. There were seven men on the job. They had their own dump truck and all the right power tools. And I paid $1,000 less than I did 14 years ago the last time it was done (NEVER use IKO shingles - they are garbage). I insisted on Owens-Corning this time and they should last twice as long as the lousy IKO shingles. Good job, Ryan.

Button's came in to replace a non-functioning central air system and we decided to replace the 15-year-old furnace at the same time. We chose a complete Trane system because it is highly rated by consumer sites. They even walked us through the rebate programs, which was great. The installation went very smoothly BUT I discovered after they left that the furnace was propped up with pieces of pipe and scrap metal to make it level.! It does not look very professional. They should have spent more time figuring out how to lay the furnace flat on our tiled floor (they could have removed a tile or two). The rest of the install was excellent. They removed a giant box above the old furnace (it was a gravity-feed system at one time) and built a new and smaller one that could move the air more efficiently. This sidesplit house is tricky to heat and cool. Works much better now.
