Ralph rewired our entire 1930s bungalow, installing new cables, switches, outlets, lights, TV and satellite cables, speaker wires, timers, and a bathroom fan. His work is very professional: he took great care in planning our project (he spent almost 3 hours in our house before he gave us a very detailed list of tasks and a reasonable price quote!), worked extremely hard to meet the deadline set by our insurance company for replacing the knob & tube wiring in our house, knows the electrical code very well and passed the ESA inspection with high-flying colours. Ralph is a specialist in rewiring old houses: he removed all old wires and installed the new wires with very little damage to our walls and ceilings. He also gave us very good advice on how to modernize the electrical system in our house. We are very happy with the result.

Matthew replaced all galvanized steel pipes and lead drain pipes in our 1930s bungalow, installed new PEX pipes and ABS drains, new valves and faucets in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room, a new thermostat tub and shower set, a dishwasher and a hot water heater with a recirculation pump. Matthew is a professional: he had excellent ideas for redesigning our plumbing system, gave reasonable and very accurate quotes, used high quality materials and did very neat work. He gives a 5-year warranty on his installations and makes sure that they conform to Ontario's plumbing code. We are happy with our new plumbing system and are looking forward to working with Day and Son on our next plumbing projects: the replacement of the main drain and the installation of two new bathrooms.

Craig from Face Lift Floors sanded more than 1000 square feet of oak floors in our 1930s bungalow and finished them with three coats of polyurethane. He also sanded and finished our stair treads. Craig's service and quality of work were exceptional. He took great care in sanding our floors. In order to take off as little wood as possible, he used fine-grained sand paper from the beginning. In addition, he did a number of extra things for which he did not charge us: custom-made oak thresholds and an oak box to cover a radiator pipe. Craig is very reliable and trustworthy and uses very good equipment, including a state-of-the-art dust filtration system.
