Guy came on time, went down to the basement, explained the process well, did the job, made little mess, cleaned the whole system with duct, drier, furnace, etc. The job costs 250 plus tax which comes to around 285.

Everyone please watch out for this installer who claims that he is in busines for 15 years (according to his add on kijiji). This is completely false! This man by the name of Ahmad Zaihomayoun, aka. Homayoun/Roberto, which ever way he calls himself, works for some company during the day and does railing on the side after work. I dont know which company hired a man like this one - but definetly NOT a railing company- because if they actually saw the work he does, they would fire him on the spot. We first got his number off kijiji, and when he came over to our house he showed us many beautiful photographs of railings, which he claimed he did with his partner. We belived him and hired him to do ours, at our newly built house. He gave us an original estimate of $2200. We gave him $600 cash upfront for the pickets, which he was supposed to get. He got the pickets, and he began installing the railing. There was a previous railing installed from the builders, which we took off, as we were upgrading it to dark stained wood with wroght iron pickets. So, H.A. took the old ones out, and began drilling new holes for the pickets. We asked him why he is doing so, because there were already holes from the previous ones, and he said that the holes that he made in the hand-railing for the new pickets, do not match the holes on the floor. Ok, whatever, we told him, "do as you know" because we knew he was going to fill the holes later and stain them. So he made a bunch of holes on the nozzing downstairs and on a few steps. He didnt bother drilling anything up the staircase for now (thank god he didnt!!) Then he began installing, and we saw that he was taking a long time moving things back and forth, trying things out, then I even caught him once looking at the picket and the hole and he had this VERY CONFUSED look on his face that just read "I dont know what I am doing". So he kept leaving our house and coming back for the next 3 weeks or more, and unable to do anything. He was always making up new excuses why the railing was not being installed: 1. I have another job I need to finish. 2. I did not get the pickets stained. 3. the pickets are still drying from paint. 4. I dont have my partner to help me. ETC. But the truth was, that he didn't know WHAT he was doing. He is absolutely clueless. Then, he came one time and installed the pickets on the ground floor. So we looked at them, and we saw that between the pickets there were uneven spacing. Between one set there were 3 inches, between others 2 1/2'' and so forth. He placed the hand rail on top and it was croocked. Then he argued that its supposed to be this way. All the time he kept arguing back at us when we told him that he is doing something wrong. He never listened and just tried proving his point. Then we saw that on several pickets the paint had "leaked", and we knew right away that HE SPRAYED THEM with a can, and not did them at a proper shop. So we went into our garage, where his tools were and found the actually SPRAY CAN with black paint which he used to paint OUR pickets!!!! We were so angry at him, and when we confronted him, he told us that it wasnt from our pickets, but you could see the bad paint job on all the pickets!! I dont know why by then we still didnt fire him. So we kept thinking he will finish the job and it will look great. We didnt care anymore that he sprayed the pickets himself, as long as he would have finish already. But, he wasnt coming for many days, and then a friend of ours who is a floor installer came over and LAUGHED at our railing. He actually thought we did it ourselves. When we told him we hired someone, he told us to immediately get rid of the guy because he did not know what he is doing. So we called another company J & D Railing, and their guy came over and saw the job and started laughing too. He took a picture because he said he needed to show his partner what kind of people are out there claiming that they know how to install railings. Thankfully this guy knew what he was doing and he reinstalled everthing for us. I wrote a separate review on this company. Everyone please watch out for this man Homayoun, and do not belive his stories. At the end, we barely got out money back from him, but we did not comeout even, as he ruined our nozzing, stairs, pickets, posts, hand-railing, even floor! Yes, he dropped a post twice and scratched our floor!!! After him we could not reuse anything - he ruined and damaged everything he came into contact with. We had to get a brand new nozzing, hand rail and pickets. We returned all his pickets to him, and got ones for even cheaper than he told us they would cost!! We also got new posts as he drilled a bunch of holes in our old posts and they were no good anymore. Please do not let his prices fool you if he gives you a good estimate because they are too good to be true!!!! You will definetly get what you paid for! Pay peanuts and you will get monkies. That's what they say, and its true. So please, do not let this guy in your home. If you are reading this than probably you already have, and I am VERY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. I dont have a pic of the railing Ahmad did because it was so pathetic , we didnt bother taking a pic, but the guy who re-did it took a pic, and hopefully he can provide it if needed.

In the beginning off 2010 we hired a guy from Kijiji named Ahmad Zaihomayoun (he advertises himself there saying he has over 15 years experience, this is not true!) Anyway, this guy Ahmad started to do the railing, which he completely screwed up: the pickets were spray-painted, he overcharged us for them, he made more than 20 holes in one nozzing and ruined the whole nozzing from then on, etc. MANY MANY TROUBLES this guy caused us, so we called another company Star Star, and they have recommanded Dweight: J&D Railing. Dweight came over the same night and gave us an estimate on the stairs, which was even cheaper that that Afghan guy gave us. So he began to fix everything for us - he gave us a new nozzing (for free!!! which we are sooo appreciative of), he quickly and accurately installed the railing in a few days. All the pickets he supplied were brand new and painted in the right way with sealer, he put a metal railing holder underneath the wood, made all efforts for accuracy and quality. We were really happy with his job and would recommand him and his company to everyone who needs a railing done in the home. Dwaight is really pleasant, and knows what he is doing, so trust him with your renovation/installation of railing. Sorry I dont have a pic of the railing but will put it up eventually.

Pavel came over to our place and gave us a good estimate on replacement of our shingles. He was very nice and helpful, and VERY patient when we asked him tons of questions about the process. He explained everything in the greatest detail about the product and installation process. Once they started working, they were very clean and considerate of our needs. They took care not to drop any of the material from the roof and cleaned up any little mess they made daily. They were very pleasant to work with and I hope that the next people who need their roof replaced will choose to go with the Royal York Roofing. An exceptionally well organized team, in deed!

Came to buy chairs in May 31st. Were promised to get them in 3 days. Then we called to change the colour of the chairs. Barnie (manager) told us they will be in next week, since they dont have them in stock. We kept coming over and over week after week and were fed the same bull. Week after week she was becoming more rude and annoyied by us. She couldnt wait to get us out of the store. Finally a month later the chairs came in. Came to get them, realized that she ordered the wrong colour. However, she kept saying that baige is actually that - which was as white as snow! Then we came home, unpacked the chairs and realized they were not the same as those we ordered! The one we tried at the store had wide legs and cushion 1 inch size. Those had small think legs and think cushion and the fabric quality was cheap as hell! the seam was running and the chairs had scratches all over them like they were previously floor models and were packed in a box and given to us. We came back to store, complained, Barnie kept saying that those were the chairs we ordered. We asked for a refund, she gave us a refund after arguing on some paper and did not swipe our card. Told us that the refund will appear at our statement in 48 hrs. ALmost a week has gone by and we still did not get our refund. Customers, please beware of this company!! They trick to get you to buy and then you will wait for ages to get your product and then it might not even be the same quality. Please check what you buy and take pictures at the store! Open all boxes in front of Barnie to show her what you got. Or better yet NEVER go there!
