Just did some touching up and now everything looks great. They worked with the paint I wanted which was not the usual one they use, and did not mind doing a small job.

I let the sign on the two bathroom doors warn people that the bathrooms were out of order for months. I just didn't want to pay a plumber! So glad I eventually did. The job is estimated by the work not by time. Now everyone doesn't have to go to the master to use the toilet.
First they made a cut in the grass past the boundary arranged, and then they poured the gravel too far over so I had to rake it back about ten inches. When they paved the driveway they left a rough edge at the garage entrance. I had a better job done at a previous house by a drive-by sealing company. Then they stained my patio stones. They had to come back to clean up a footprint and I expected them to clean the stone but they didn't and I wasn't home at that point. They left tar all over the neighbour's edging stones, and one side looks smooth while the other doesn't. I made numerous calls to Angelo but his men didn't listen to him and they ignored me. I have called around about cleaning the stone without success. I am amazed at the gall of this company which was recommended to me. I would never use them for anything. It would have been so simple to do a good job if they cared.
When we moved in to our new home the previous owner had not cut the grass in a month and had not picked up after their pit bull for at least as long. I did not have a mower that could cut grass that long. I tried to clean up the dog mess but it was hard to find all of it under the grass. The Go-To-Gang cleaned up the yard and cut down an overgrown grapevine as well. They are a married couple and they work really fast. They do window washing, tree-trimming, garbage disposal, power washing, grounds maintenance, cottage prep, painting, and organizing and anything you need done. Call them and be amazed!
This company is all about the prep. Any exterior job will last several years. They use a cleaner called Biowash and make sure the areas to be painted are well prepared. They are fully insured and give free estimates. If you want your money's worth call The Bullard Brothers.
Determine & deal with skunk under porch.
This company has phone numbers in Toronto, Mississauga, Burlington & Halton Hills/Milton. They charged me 140 to come out to assess our problem. The guy looked at the porch and said a skunk could live there. Then he said it would be at least 700 to dig and screen the area. I did not notice he evaluated the area any more than we had. He did not look for any tell-tale signs or go close enough to use any sort of expertise. For his guess that a skunk could be living under the porch he charged me 140! They called back a week later to follow up and I told them that the price was exorbitant and that they already had received enough from me. We turned the hose on and tried to flush out a skunk and nothing happened so we are just leaving the lights on at night for now. There is no other way to get rid of a skunk. I believe the charge for the inspection is not worth the money unless they do a thorough investigation and confirm the presence of the skunk before you go to the next step spending 700 to dig and screen.
First of all, the girls in the office go to great length in explaining our services and approx. costs to customers over the phone. Animals living under your porch or deck is a labour intensive and costly procedure. It's not just dig and screen...we dig down a foot and out a foot along the entire perimeter and install stainless steel screening along with a one-way door to release the animal. Approx. 4 days later we return to remove the door and completely deodorize the area as well as seal the final entry point. This can take 2-3 guys an entire day to install, how much do you think it should cost?? I would also like to add that all our trucks are equipped with GPS units in them, the technician spent 43 minutes at your home for the inspection so he must have done a little more than you described. Lastly, I would like to add that with all of the FREE information available on the internet, the best you could come up with is to stick a hose down the hole? Really? Top of the food chain eh? Were all doomed!
Attic insulation with cellulose
After contacting several insulation companies I chose Jarvis Insulation because they were a locally owned company. This industry is not well regulated and trying to get information is very difficult. None of the companies were members of the Better Business Bureau. It is hit and miss. Well I missed. My house was left with insulation all through the front hall, up the stairs, and all through my bedroom and even in the bathroom (the stuff got under the door). Reputable companies that I deal with usually do a clean up after they are done. These guys came in covered in insulation and I was tempted to ask them to leave, but I had signed a contract. Don't use this company unless you want cellulose with boric acid all through your house. They could have taken a shop vac to the areas they worked in and especially in the front hall. Very disappointing!
I bought a house that was poorly maintained on the exterior and contacted Hubert Klein to give me an estimate knowing their would be a lot of prep time. I was very happy with the job. They painted the railing at the front to match the front door on their own initiative. You would not recognize my house now! His quote was not the cheapest nor the most expensive but his reputation keeps him busy.

Unfortunately I have had to use this company a few times. They are very professional and go out of their way to make things right. I would highly recommend them for any basement leaks or foundation problems. It is my philosophy to fix things while they are small and before they cause problems. Jagg is the best.
I couldn't paint the house with three crooked garage door panels due to the installation of the opener to one side. Royal came in at a much lower price than the local Oakville companies. They were referred to me by my neighbour. They fixed the opener and installed the new door all for less than any other estimate for the door alone. I am very happy and it will help keep the bedroom above a little warmer.
Siding, & new living room window.
I bought a house that had not been maintained and the wood overhangs were in terrible shape. I decided to put siding on them since to paint them on a regular basis would be costly. The house looks so good we have almost driven past it because we did not recognize it. I was very pleased with the job which took several hours to complete. We also replaced the living room window from an old three piece with two small bottom sliders to a beautiful casement window. I love it because I can get better air circulation in my townhouse. Superior did a superior job.
New Furnace and Air Cleaner with repairs to ductwork
This company is the only one of several that I contacted that did not have pushy salesmen. The installation crew was exceptional. They worked from 8a.m. until 8p.m. without stopping. My only problem is that I ended up with two air purifiers which which was not requested. I was able to get the service cost reduced because I am out of their territory. They are recommended by Mike Holmes. Call them but make sure you get what you asked for.
