We hired Brian's services on a number of occasions. The first was when we needed to carpentry work done on around our newly installed windows. Brian worked alongside his partner Jill, from JR Painting, and they got the job done quickly and concurrently. There was no waiting around for one contractor to finish before the other began. We later called Brian to help us finish some molding that was left incomplete and the job was done very efficiently and well. One small thing though, the "Swift" of Swift Services doesn't mean a job poorly done in haste; it means the job is done efficiently but well. No complaints at all here.

I was quite satisfied with the job Torwin did with replacing the windows of our house. The sliders on the single-hung windows work quite well and I appreciate the automatic locking when the windows are in closed position. The cranks on the casements are also good. Martin, the main installer was very professional and concerned about customer satisfaction so when I mentioned that the caulking job around one of the windows wasn't the best, he promptly fixed this. The only concern I have about the job was that when the original estimation was given, I was told that any pieces of trim around the windows that needed to be installed would be but this was not done. I didn't even think to mention anything about this until after the workers had finished--it would seem that they thought a good paint job would fix the problem. That ended up costing an additional $1400 in carpentry work so that's definitely something to consider before replacing your windows, or something to inquire about at every stage of your window replacement.

Jill and her team were committed to doing the job thoroughly and professionally. They worked long hours to ensure the job was done properly and Jill particularly was very helpful in making sure that the paint colours, etc. were absolutely to our liking. After a few trips to the paint store and a number of samples we were able to find just the right colour. The paint was also of a high quality which is much better considering the paint-job will be longer lasting and there were two coats applied plus a primer coat. It's not easy to deal with 90 year old houses and the shape some of the wood is in on these homes but Jill did her best to guarantee the old paint was stripped properly before the new paint was applied. Thanks also to her partner Brian who helped out with some of the woodwork that was left unfinished by the window installers.
